My boy is strong and healthy. These helped!

5

I did a lot of research on multi vitamins while I was pregnant and narrowed it down to this brand here. I love that they are organic and are from a trusted company. That was my main concern. I took these daily throughout my pregnancy. I felt healthy and that I was getting a balanced amount of nutrients by adding this multivitamin into my diet. My son is now 3 and a half and he is very strong and healthy. He has an active and sharp mind as well. I know these played a role in adding the right nutrients to make him a strong boy. I continued to take a multi vitamin from this same company but the womens daily version and I plan on being a regular purchaser of this amazing supplement. Worth a shot for sure!

Everything it Claims!

5

I started taking this prenatal a couple of months before even getting pregnant. I had recently finished my old brand (store brand) and saw these at my local grocery. They were cheaper than on-line even, so I got a bottle. This bottle contains a three-month supply (1 pill per day) and is food based, which really is what grabbed my attention. It is also vegan friendly, as well as gluten, dairy & soy-free, which makes it great for pretty much everyone! While the pill is a bit larger, it was not hard for me to swallow, and it could be cut in half for those who have a harder time with it. Really, for all of the benefits of taking the prenatal, it's totally worth it! It will turn your pee yellow, which from what I've read is simply all of the B vitamins. It does not mean your body isn't absorbing them, there are just a lot! I have nothing negative to say about it. It does not contain DHA, but Rainbow Light brand does have a DHA supplement if wanted to purchase.

Big but effective

When you're expecting a baby, it's suddenly a lot more important that not only are you taking your vitamins, but that they're actually getting absorbed. With a whole-food vitamin like this one, the nutrients are a lot more effective because they come from actual food instead of artificial chemical compounds. I loved that there was nothing artificial in these vitamins - especially no artificial dyes, which is surprisingly hard to find in prenatal vitamins. (Most companies seem to think that making them pink somehow adds value) These are quite reasonably priced for the benefits you get, easy to find in stores and online, and you only have to take them once a day. Unfortunately, that means the pill is a bit on the big side. The whole foods and digestive support added to these pills is great for those who are feeling queasy and having trouble keeping a pill down... however, if your brand of "morning sickness" (read: all day misery) includes a hyperactive gag reflex, you might have trouble with these.

Food Based Vitamin

5

I went looking for a food based pre-natal when I found out I was expecting my first, and my sister (mother of 3) recommended this one. I was very sick with my first pregnancy which turned out to be twins, but I was still able to take these vitamins without it making the problem worse. I loved that I was putting real food into my body. I took these throughout my pregnancy and all while I was nursing for 15 months. I really felt my body had the support it needed for the work it had to do. Also I love that this is only one pill a day. During my second pregnancy I went looking again to see if I could find something better (I don't know what it is about me, but I always look to see if there is something better) and I found most other products want you to take 3 - 6 tablets a day. Some might seem less expensive when you first look at them, but when you are taking that many a day, it ends up significantly more per month.

AWESOME vitamins for the price

5

I took these vitamins while pregnant and nursing my second daughter. These are GREAT vitamins. I really appreciate that they are food-sourced vitamins instead of synthetically made vitamins. They were an incredible value. Super cheap price for the quality of the product being offered. When I was pregnant with my first daughter I ended up being on flintstones because I could not handle the prenatal vitamins (made me sick). The flintstones tasted awful. I was so excited to find a food source vitamin and at an expensive price too. The price displayed on this listing must be for a multi-pack. The bottle I ordered was really cheap comparatively and a really great project. No getting sick on this one. Since it's food sourced it was much more gentle on my stomach and I was able to just continue taking it. I would recommend this for any mama trying to conceive, is pregnant, or is nursing. This is truly an awesome product.

Great prenatal vitamin

5

I found Rainbow Light's prenatal vitamin when I was nursing my first child. I wish I had found these vitamins sooner. I really love the fact that there are no artificial ingredients in this vitamin, including food coloring. Why is it necessary to add color to medication and every other product on the market? These vitamins do have a slight vitamin smell, but definitely not as bad as some that I have smelled. This vitamin has all the good stuff you need for you and your baby without all the unnecessary stuff that some companies put in their vitamins. I am now nursing my second child and only purchase these vitamins. A great natural choice for you and your baby. I you are reading this review you are either pregnant, trying, or are nursing, so I wish you the best! May you be as blessed as I have been with my two daughters.

Rainbow Light Just Once Prenatals are a Winner!

5

I decided to try these vitamins based on a plethoria of good reviews on the vitacost web site. The makers have done a great job and the vitamins are affordable, which I appreciate greatly. The only downside I can think of for them is that they are rather large, so if you have difficulty with swallowing larger pills, you might want to consider something different. The pros far outweight the cons though, the vitamins are easy to find, they are priced right, and as the bottle says they are only once a day. They are a much better vitamin than your basic store brands also. These prenatals have ginger in them, which may help counter nausea in the early months. I can't say that was highly effective for me, but I can say that they did not contribute to my nausea or make it worse (which some prenatals do!). I would definatly recommend Rainbow Light Just Once prenatals and will take them with any future pregnancies.

Great prenatal for the price!

Rainbow Light makes great prenatals that are generally recommended by most midwives. They do make a better food based prenatal system but it's pricey and harder to find. The great thing about the Just Once is that they are affordable and you can find them at Target. Another benefit is that you only have to remember to take them once a day (unlike their prenatal system where you have to take quite a few). This is especially helpful if you have pregnancy brain because at least you know that your baby is getting the nutrition that he or she needs without a ton of extra effort on your behalf. Rainbow Light prenatals are especially known for being easy on your digestive system which is important because if you can't keep it down it's not going to do you much good. In addition to the ingredients usually found in prenatals this blend also contains red raspberry leaf, ginger, and organic spirulina. And added protease, amylase, lipase, cellulase, and lactobacillus sporogens for added digestive support.

I definitely recommend the Rainbow Light Prenatal Multivitamin.

I've taken Rainbow Light Prenatal One Multivitamins through most of my pregnancy and have been very pleased. I have never found them to upset my stomach, which was really important during the first trimester nausea. They are significantly more expensive than most generic prenatal vitamins, as well as significantly larger, so I tried some generic ones after I finished my first bottle of Rainbow Light. I managed to finish the generic ones but immediately went back to Rainbow Light as I felt the generic ones did upset my stomach a bit, and I knew I could trust the Rainbow Light ones not to do so. For me, the biggest downsides to the Rainbow Light vitamins have been the price, the size of each pill (I go so far as to try to avoid taking them when I'm alone, in case I choke! However, I find that looking up to the ceiling while taking one often helps it go down more easily), and the smell of them (which is, of course, easily avoidable - just don't breathe in when you open the bottle). Otherwise I think they're great.

It is truly gentle on the stomach.

I have been taking prenatals for almost six years in hopes to have another baby (my doctor says this is okay) however, I am very sensitive to iron in most vitamins. It makes me really nauseas so I have to be careful with the vitamins I chooose. I also like to find vitamins that are natural and plant-based. I have been dying to go into the new Vitamin store by my house and look for a new one. The lady said that I might want to try this one because you only have to take one a day, opposed to two or even three with other brands. I decided to give it a try. I do not like the taste of them (if you don't get it down in the first try...I am not that great at swallowing pills) and they are quite big but they are really gentle on the stomach and I have yet to have a stomachache from taking this brand. They are a little more expensive compared to the non-plant based vitamins but I am willing to pay for a plant-based, natural product. They also appear to have all the recommended vitamins you need in a day. Oh and don't forget to pair it with an omega supplement.
