Rainbow E Series Vacuum Review Summary

Sweeping, shampoo and cleaning your carpets can all be done with the Rainbow E Series Vacuum. This bagless all in one vacuum helps with allergies, is easy to use, long lasting and really gets your carpets clean. This sweeper is not just for carpets, Ladygoodman says, “The regular vacuum attachment is only used on the rugs, but the vacuum is still invaluable in that it will get up the tiniest speaks of dust off of our ceramic tiled floors. “This sweeper is expensive and while most agree it’s worth the price, Kidkansas disagrees, “Yeah it cleans good and is quiet considering the power it has. Was it worth the money I paid for it? No it wasn't,” after several experiences trying to use the warranty after several parts and switches broke. However, many reviewers agree when Garz69 says, “you will never need to buy another vacuum ever again.” Want to spend less and get more from your vacuum, read more informative sweeping experiences on home appliances.

After going through at least 5 vacuums in our 6 year marriage I told my husband I would not vacuum again unless he bought me a Rainbow. My mother had one, I reapeat one, while I was growing up. I don't remember her ever needing another. It did everything, rugs, non-carpeted floors, wet, dry, shampooed... review »

Once upon a time I let a woman talk me into buying one of these modern marvels. She of course bought the whole enchilada with all the attachments and fragrances they had to offer. In the end it cost me just over $1800 for this so called wonderful and healthy vacuum.

Hind sight is far better than foresight!  If I would have known what I know now, I would have never spent a small fortune on such a piece of junk!  This vaccum mixes  dirt with water.  Herin lies the problem.  The dirt stinks and has some mold spores in in.  If you do not get EVERY speck of water out of the canister when you are done cleaning, you will have one horrible mess when you return to use it again.  When I got this system, I was a working Mom with a very demanding job.  My teenager tried to help but between me, her dad and myself, the resivour did not get dry.  The next time I... review »

I grew up with a Rainbow in our home. My parents didn't have a lot of money so they bought the model that the guy used for demos. My mother still has it.

This always impressed me; despite the fact that as a kid I hated the vacuum because I was the one that got the impressive job of emptying out the water bin. As an adult I have asked to use her Rainbow many times.....particularly when the $200 vacuum we bought a few months prior just quit sucking.

So when a friend asked me if I was interested in sitting through a Rainbow demo, I jumped at the chance! Of course, I had an idea of how much...

Rainbow vacuum cleaner E2 - purchased late 2008

This system takes so much time and effort to set-up and then to clean once you are finished that you do not want to vacuum your house unless you are going to do the whole house. You have to fill with water, add sanitizer, and also a fragrance. After complete you have to empty the water container (very gross) and clean all dirt out and then remove a bolt and take the fan blade piece off and scrub with a tiny brush. Then leave everything out until it dries. It also says you can't store the unit with the water container in it. I also noticed that dirt...

First of all, Rainbow vacuum is really expensive, BUT if you are after true cleanliness and healthy environment, and one that lasts for more than 20 years, then it is worth the price. It freshens and cleans air as you vacuum floors or carpets making your house smell good, clean, and allergy-free.

This vaccum will clean even ground in dirt.  I used to vaccum the house every day, and the floor looked clean.  After I bought the Rainbow, I realized how much dirt was hiding in the carpet.  It took me almost 2hours to finally get all the dirt my old vaccum left by the back door where the dog comes in.

The hose is made with piano wire, and never kinks up.  My 1 year old likes to climb on it and hasn't broken it yet, and it is easy enough that my 3year old can use it.  I also like the fact that you can turn it on low and use it as a humidifier, or put the hose on the outlet and use it to...

I have used Rainbow vacuum cleaners for over 20 years in 3 different homes.  I never had to worry about flea infestation.  Picking up dog hairs was a breeze and i was not constantly replacing filters.  I have reccommended this brand of vacuum to all my friends.  Expensive?  yes but they appear to last much longer and they are worth it.  Take more time to clean up?  Yes but no odors to seep thru filters nor bugs!

I have the e-series Rainbow. Let me tell you, it was a heck of an argument to get me to agree to pay $2000 for a vacuum. Ultimately, it was the baby on the way and allergies that were won over by the air filtration feature. At the time of purchase (which by the way was over $3000 with financing), the Rainbow dealer made a "deal" with my husband that if he showed it a certain # of times and then sold 1 then they pay for the vacuum (rolling eyes) Right! They had him show it over and over for weeks at the very few peoples houses that the sales exhausted area hadn't seen it. Then before his very last...

We recently purchased a Rainbow cleaning system.  We had a Kirby before the Rainbow.  I was very impressed by the fact it uses water to capture all the dust.  I have used it to clean my car, home and the two homes that I clean on a regular basis.  It has been very nice not to have to spend my hard earned money on bags.  I like how it cleans the air.  My daughter has allergies, and she seems to be able to breath better now than when we had other vacuums.  I love putting the oil-based home fragrances in it, makes my house smell so sweet.  My favorite scent is sun-dried linen.

It picks...

I am a professional house-cleaner by trade, and have been for over 30 yrs. I invested in a Rainbow vacuum quite some time ago, and would never buy any other vacuum now. I have tried just about every vacuum out there, and this is the best by far. It is quick and easy to change between attachments, very agreeable to pull around behind you, and up and down stairs. I especially love being able to just dump out the dirty water, instead of having to breathe the dust coming out of most of your other vacuums, or having to mess with taking out the dirty bags from some of them. The Rainbow vacuum is one... review »

I've used Rainbow sence the 80's and will never use anything else. I love the way it holds all the stuff in the water. I can tell when I have used it. The whole house smells so clean. Even people that stop by even tell me how good the air and the house smell and what do I do to keep it like that!!  Good invewstment, just remember that you do have to have it cleaned at least once a year or go for 2 yrs and have it cleaned just don't forget that you can clean the filter yourself !! That has been the life saver for me!!  I have a lot of dust from the road and also from the feet of people coming... review »

The Rainbow vacuums are the best in the world!  They pick up dirt you never knew about, and the truth is in the water!  It is easy to move around the house, and the attachments that come with it mean that you can vacuum any surface.  I just love my machine, and couldn't do without it!

The Rainbow E Series Vacuum is just an awesome cleaning machine!  What really sold me on it was the filtering which is done by water.  No more dust coming out of the side where dry filters are in other vacuums.  Super, super suction.  Can be used for regular vacuuming, as an air filtering system, a shampooer (with proper attachments), and as a wet vacuum for small spills.  It's very efficient and versatile.  Many attachments come with the vacuum when you purchase it such as; floor tool with extra hose, soft brush for dusting, and tools for furniture/stair cleaning.  It also has the ability...

Although more money than we should have spent on a vacuum, it has lasted as long as 3 new vacuums for our friends and always does a good job.   I really like the fact that there isn't any dust put in the air when sweeping.

Although adding to the bulk of the unit, it is nice to have all the tools handy on the unit.   Because of its bulk, it takes more storage space than an upright, but it does more than any upright also.

I don't have any problem with carrying it from floor to floor, but would not recommend it to someone with mutiple levels and not able to (or wanting to) carry something...
