Raid House and Garden Spray - 12 Pack Review

We had tried various things after a fruit fly problem but none of them seemed to really work as we had hoped.  The fruit flies were a result of a leaky washer, but even after the washer was fixed we still couldn't get rid of them!

Once I bought Raid House & Garden all of my problems were solved.  This brand is low odor so you aren't dying as you spray it.  Obviously you aren't supposed to stay in the room breathing this in, but at least while you are applying it you aren't completely drowning in a bad scent.

How it works for flying insects is that you spray all around the room, aiming at windows and light sources.  Then you completely fill the room with the scent and close all the doors.  Leave it like that for 15 minutes (or longer if you have the time) and next time you go in you will see a bunch of dead fruit flies all over the ground.  It's a good idea to clean out the room before doing this so you avoid having bugs on all your things.  Alternatively you could cover your things with sheets or garbage bags.

This method really works!  After only one spray and wait, the bugs were all dead and we vacuumed them up.  After weeks of seeing a bug here or there around the house, they were all gone!  Woo hoo :)  We had another fruit fly problem recently, due to our laundry room sink gathering water in one end, and we used this product again to solve it.

The truth is, when you have a fruit fly problem, cleaning up the mess doesn't always solve it.  You can get rid of all the garbage, clean the house from top to bottom, but if they are still breeding in some hidden corner you will never get to them.  Instead, buy Raid House & Garden and spray down the room where the most bugs are... because wherever the most bugs are is probably where they are breeding.

This product also works for crawling bugs and garden bugs but that's not why I bought it.  It's safe for plants, but still dangerous to pets and humans so even though it's low odor you still have to keep away from it until after you ventilate the room.   The only downside is it is around $6.
