What I said in my one sentence is a warning to all the pet lovers out there.  These pesticides, for the most part, work very well.  However, you must use caution in where you use them if you have pets that go outside as they can be deadly to them also.  Even indoors, be careful where you put pesticides and move the dog food and water when applying any of them.

We have a very bad problem with roaches  ~  never can seem to rid ourselves of them.  If anyone out there has any hints as to what we can do to help....please let me know.  The pesticides work well ~ for a while, but not as long as you would think that they would.  We need something that works in the long term.

For 6yrs we lived in hell with roaches. (being in a trailer park you can never really get rid of them.) I wanted to get rid of them so bad I was willing to try almost anything. Someone had told me they can't stand the cold. So we went to a hotel for 2 nights, Came back only a few were dead. I was told I didn't use a bug killer. So I called told my parents that we had a bug problem and needed to be gone for a week & that we were wanting to come visit. The only way we would get rid of them at least for a month was when we went on a week vacation,(my father was in a nursing home in Florida, so we went to visit him for Christmas.) I wanted to get rid of these pesty bugs so we covered every thing in white sheets, turned off the heat/furnace and blew out the pilot light to the water heater. The only heat was a 75 watt light bulb in the kitchen we left on. Then bombed the heck out of each room. It was a 4 bdrm double wide. We put about 15 bombs down underneath the trailer and about 3 in each room and shut the doors and left. It cost us some money but it was worth it. Boy did this work !!! Whe we came back the sheets were full of dead roaches and a few spiders too. We took the sheets and dumped them outside in the trash can. We did'nt have roaches for a while after that, but that was because we lived in a trailer park.
When we moved we put all our stuff in a moving truck and put bombs in the back that night. When we opened it the next morning, we saw alot of dead bugs everywhere. Then as an extra precaution, when we got to our new place, we put the stuff we bombed from the truck (but spread out more with sheet over them)in the Garage at our new place and bombed the stuff again. Then as we unpacked everything we made sure there were no bugs before putting them in our new house. hope this helps. Also Happy Thanksgiving!
