My son got the Radio Flyer Classic Tiny Trike for his first birthday. He liked it the minute it was assembled. He continues to enjoy flying around on it (he is 3), but his little sister enjoys it more now. She is 18 months and the perfect age to "trike around on it". My daughter views it as her bike-- as she rides behind my son on his bike with training wheels.

The things I like about the Radio Flyer Classic Trike:

  • The bike was a gift from my Dad. He said the assembly was pretty easy (although I dont know first hand) and was about $50-- but you can get online sales or coupons
  • If your child falls,...

This was a gift from my inlaws for my 1 1/2 year old son at Christmas. We had bought a similar sized plastic trike made by another company for Christmas. My son rode both and ended up riding the Radio Flyer almost exclusively. The other trike sat there for a few months. Occassionaly, my son would get on the plastic one, ride for a few seconds, and then get on the Radio Flyer. I finally put the plastic trike in the closet. Once, when he was too rough on the trike, the little red retaining hub popped off and he couldn't ride it. I couldn't find the hub so I retrieved the plastic trike from the closet...

My son received this as a gift when he was 13 months old, and he immediately loved it.  He had no problems figuring out how to maneuver it around.  Here are some of the things that I love about this toy:
  • The front wheels are wider than the back wheels.  I think this makes it more stable.  Also, the back wheels never get stuck in tight places... if the front wheels get through a spot, the rest of the trike will also fit.  (I appreciate this even more, now that he rides a regular trike and sometimes gets the back wheels stuck when going around our kitchen island.)
  • The trike doesn't light up, make...

To think that a toy from my childhood is still around!  I think that speaks volumes for the Radio Flyer brand, and about this model as a little child's first bike!  As a gift for a first birthday, it allows the child to begin learning how to motor around the house in a different way.  Once they get closer to two years old, watch out as they will be taking the bike everywhere!  The bike itself was easy to assemble and is definitely durable enough to sustain a few falls (which really is just a slight tipping over of the bike!)  The wheels make it easy for the child to maneuver around objects,...

I bought this Radio Flyer Tricylce for my son for his first birthday. He absolutely loves it. I felt like it was kinda pricey for a tricycle but after he played and played and played with it. It was totally worth it. I don't think there's a day that goes by that he doesn't ride it. Also, the one that I bought folds up for travling and thats the best thing ever because when we go grandmas house he always wants to take it with us. I would totally recommend this for parents with a child who is old enough for a tricycle. Although, the new blue, yellow, and red tricyle was not available at our store...

The radio flyer tiny trike is perfect for first time bikers. Lets them use their own feet to move about. Good for strengthening their legs and learning to get from here to there on their own "foot" power!

My son received the Radio Flyer Trike as a gift. He loves to ride it over his big wheel even though now at two and a half he is almost too big for it.
