Your youngsters will love getting out all their energy on this!
We just received the Radio Flyer Liberty Spring Horse as a gift for my 2 1/2 year old and it is a great, solid horse. I was worried that it would be too big for him to get on/off and not padded enough to protect any falls but after watching him on daily I really don't need to worry about that. It IS a big horse and I'm not too excited about it becoming a piece of our living room furniture, but I can put up with it to see the smiles and laughter on my child. The music has a "loud", "quiet" and "off" function which is nice since the loud setting it pretty loud. The springs are padded and covered and the directions to put it together were a bit quirky but not that bad. It took my husband and I about an hour to get it together. My toddler cannot reach the stirrups but he can comfortably place his feet on the front and back bars. He is a good climber and has been quite safe getting on and off it himself. I can see a potential injury on the metal frame around the base of the horse. You could perhaps get some cheap tube foam padding for insulating pipes at a hardware store and put it around the base...but knowing that the kids will be stepping on this to get on/off the horse you wouldn't want it to slide underfoot...so I haven't figured out that one yet. So far it isn't a problem.
