Comments about Radio Flyer Liberty Spring Horse:

We just received the Radio Flyer Liberty Spring Horse as a gift for my 2 1/2 year old and it is a great, solid horse.  I was worried that it would be too big for him to get on/off and not padded enough to protect any falls but after watching him on daily I really don't need to worry about that.  It IS a big horse and I'm not too excited about it becoming a piece of our living room furniture, but I can put up with it to see the smiles and laughter on my child.  The music has a "loud", "quiet" and "off" function which is nice since the loud setting it pretty loud.  The springs are padded and covered and the directions to put it together were a bit quirky but not that bad.  It took my husband and I about an hour to get it together.  My toddler cannot reach the stirrups but he can comfortably place his feet on the front and back bars.  He is a good climber and has been quite safe getting on and off it himself.  I can see a potential injury on the metal frame around the base of the horse.  You could perhaps get some cheap tube foam padding for insulating pipes at a hardware store and put it around the base...but knowing that the kids will be stepping on this to get on/off the horse you wouldn't want it to slide underfoot...so I haven't figured out that one yet.  So far it isn't a problem.

Comments about Radio Flyer Liberty Spring Horse:

We got the Radio Flyer Horse for my son for his third birthday.  He is now six and the horse has been ridden and played on so much by him and my three year old daughter.  They love to bounce on it and pretend they are cowboys.  The horse has held up so well.  It bounces great.  We have only replaced the batteries once, which was easy enough to do.  The horse whinnies and neighs and also makes a galloping sound.  It is a little big but that is to be expected.  The horse was fairly easy to put together as well.  My daughter loves his yarn mane and tail.  Whenever their friends come over, the horse is one of the things they fight over.  Radio Flyer makes a great product and I do believe this horse will be with us for a long time to come.  I remember having one of these when I was little and loving it, so it was definitely something I wanted to pass on to my kiddos.  I think the price is reasonable as the product is great.

Comments about Radio Flyer Liberty Spring Horse:

Gorgeous horse and incredible quality materials!  I have a rambunctious two year old who likes to rock to soothe himself… so my husband and I thought getting him an old spring horse like from our childhoods might both soothe him and help work out some excess energy.  The horse is large and my son is short for 26 months old, but once someone sets him on it (or gives him a step to climb up on) he just takes off—“Yeeeehaw!”   The body of the horse is much sturdier than the ones I remember as a child and it comes on a strong metal base.  The springs are reinforced with an extra strap, so in case they ever pop loose or break your child is less likely to fall.  The springs also come with thick fabric covers so no one gets pinched!  I should also add that we bought the version WITHOUT sound effects.  We just wanted a simple old-fashioned toy with no batteries.  This horse is such an incredible toy that I can see keeping it for the grandkids and great-grandkids.  Our Radio Flyer "Liberty" Spring Horse was worth every penny!
