Gorgeous horse and incredible quality materials!  I have a rambunctious two year old who likes to rock to soothe himself… so my husband and I thought getting him an old spring horse like from our childhoods might both soothe him and help work out some excess energy.  The horse is large and my son is short for 26 months old, but once someone sets him on it (or gives him a step to climb up on) he just takes off—“Yeeeehaw!”   The body of the horse is much sturdier than the ones I remember as a child and it comes on a strong metal base.  The springs are reinforced with an extra strap, so in case they ever pop loose or break your child is less likely to fall.  The springs also come with thick fabric covers so no one gets pinched!  I should also add that we bought the version WITHOUT sound effects.  We just wanted a simple old-fashioned toy with no batteries.  This horse is such an incredible toy that I can see keeping it for the grandkids and great-grandkids.  Our Radio Flyer "Liberty" Spring Horse was worth every penny!

You gotta love the old fashioned toys and when they make them safer it is a big plus! This sounds like they had a childs safety in mind and I like that. Welcome to Viewpoints! ;) Ron
