Last Christmas I spent the night at my brother's house so I could get up early with them to get dinner started. I slept in my nephew's room but found myself unable to sleep so I started snooping around his room looking for something to read or play with. That's when I found the 20Q game.
20Q is a small electronic toy that is about the size of half a tennis ball. The idea is that it is supposed to be able to guess the object that you are thinking of after asking you 20 questions. For example, I was thinking of the word taco. It asked if it was a vegetable, mineral, or animal, if it was bigger than pound of butter, smaller than a breadbox, if I could eat it, if it would break if I dropped it, etc. It goes thru a list of 20 questions that sort of change direction depending on how you answer each.
I played that game for a few hours and it guessed all but one of the objects I was thinking about which is totally freaky. I recently bought a 20Q of my own which my husband and I have lots of fun playing with. We're always amazed when we think of things like parrot, taco, cuckoo clock, or wreath and somehow that little computer knows what we're thinking.
20Q is quite small so you can carry it around in your purse or a kid can carry it in a bag or pocket. My nephew takes his with him everywhere so he has something to play with during boring car rides or waiting in the doctor's office. The volume can be turned off as well so that the sound doesn't disturb anyone. It also lights up so it can be played in the dark. I like to play a few rounds before I go to sleep as it helps clear my mind.
