From the first day we brought the camper to our seasonal site we had water leaks.  Every holiday we had a water leak either from the hot water tank or a line a joint.  Numerous repairs that ruined our camping experience.  We had a constant propane leak from lines that were run under the tank against the metal brackets.  We had a shower leak from behind the wall from a cut made at the factory that run over the furnace electric board.  The grey water sewage line leaked into the storage compartment.  We had no problem with Jayco paying for repairs but there were way… read full review »

Choosing a Recreational Vehicle: Pop Ups to Class A Motorhomes

Choosing a Recreational Vehicle: Pop Ups to Class A Motorhomes
love to travel, prefer National Parks over cities, a pet owner

In the last 21 years we have owned three recreational vehicles. The first one was an easy decision. The last two weren't quite as easy. Perhaps what I have learned over the years will help you. What will help is to give you a brief synopsis on each type of RV and the price range. Just by reading what kinds are out there and how much they cost might help you either eliminate one or put it on your "good possibility" list. — — Some of this repeats Part I. I felt I had to repeat some information to both make this complete and in case you don't read Part 1. — 1. The Pop Up or… read full review »

IF YOU WANT A NICE RV THAT ISN'T ALL BROKEN UP AND IN NEED OF REPAIRS OR SERVICES . DO NOT BUY FROM BEST RV SALES AND SERVICE IN MANTECA, CA.  THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE OL'TAIL LIGHT WARRANTY! THEY WILL NOT FIX ANY PROBLEMS THAT THEY HAVE PROMISED YOU AT THE TIME OF THE SALE. THEY LIE ABOUT ANY SERVICE THAT CAN BE DONE ON YOUR NEW RV. THE BBB (better business bureau) RATES THEM AS A UNSATISFACTORY BUSINESS DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. BEWARE AND RESEARCH THIS BUSINESS FIRST BEFORE YOU BUY. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT MOST RV SALES COMPANIES ARE BANNING TOGETHER AND ARE REFUSING TO DO ANY… read full review »

Happy Camper Kittys, love to travel, still crazy after all these years, married, luxury camper

Jayco has ample storage for all of your RVing needs.  This is a great family camper that can sleep 8-9+ if small children are included.  Comes with a radio with surround speakers, that's a nice feature to have.  The fabric choices are pleasant and not like older campers that go out of style.  The counterspace is one of the best found in trailers and it's in the corner where you can stack clean dishes without fearing they will fall off of the counter.  — This camper tows better than our pop up did.  You barely know it's there while driving down the highway… read full review »

After my divorce I decided I wanted to share my the travel and camping experience from my childhood with my own children.  I knew I couldn't tent camp as my parents had done.  This was a wonderful alternative.  There is plenty of sleeping and storage space so we are not cramped all over each other, but it is light enough to pull with my Ford Freestyle.  My children are 12, 9, 6 &4.  They absolutely adore the experiences and love this camper.  We went without the toilet feature in lieu of storage space and went with the… read full review »

For those of you interested in purchasing a Fleetwood RV: — For an RV that is nearly 10 years old, we are very pleased that the major appliances are still performing like new!   So far, there has been no need for replacement OR repair of our Coleman air conditioner, our Dometic refrigerator, the water heater, the holding tanks, or the plumbing. — We have a Triton V10 engine with over 115,000 miles on it.  It's a well-maintained engine, and with this many miles on it, remarkably It doesn't burn any oil!   It's in excellent… read full review »

Damon Intruder 383 Class A RV - 2007

In Jan. O7, we decided to trade up from our 2003 Coachman Mirada, 34' class A to a larger, newer Motorhome.  After doing some research and on-the-lot browsing, we chose a Damon Intruder 383.  This model featured three slides( dining/living super slide, bed silde and wardrobe slide.  Overall performance and comfort of this class A rates a 8.5 out of 10. The only downside we have experienced, is the lack of quality control at the factory.  It would appear that final cleanup and punch lists are lacking.  For example: dozens of left over screws,… read full review »

Sunline Solaris T-2499 Travel Trailer - 2006

Sunline Solaris T-2499 Travel Trailer - 2006
luxury camper, love to travel

MAR

We traded in our Sun-Lite Travel Trailer after traveling for 91 days and then buying an SUV that would pull something heavier. We chose the 2006 Sunline Solaris T-2499 (The numbers equal the length so it’s almost 25 feet.) — I will get into the features which in combination with the length made us fall in love with the Sunline. — — ~The T-2499 is 25’ 10" long. That is the exterior length and when buying a trailer the number to which you should pay attention. That number is bumper to hitch. — — ~It is 8’ wide. — … read full review »

After having a pop-up tent trailer while the kids were growing up, we were ready to buy a travel trailer. Our first one was the Sun-Lite 210-RDB. (RDB stands for rear double bed.) — Some background information: — — One reason we chose the Sun-Lite was because we didn’t want to replace our Chevy S10 truck so the weight of the trailer was a major factor. The second factor was the layout. We liked this one the best in the size and prize range we were looking at. — — Specs: — — We chose the 21-foot trailer. The… read full review »
