My husband and I just came back from 2 weeks vacation at RPLA (Sept.1st-Sept15th). Excellent hotel. Beautiful, original European Spanish style. Check in was very easy, fast and without any problems. Big bathroom, with separate shower, bath tub, all separate from the vanity area. Robs were also... read full review »

Upon arriving check in was smooth, we arrived late evening and all the food that was avalable was buffet. Room was nice and mini bar was well stocked. The next day we tried to make reservations for that nights meal, but they told us it was too late( it was only 12:30 pm)so we had buffet again, we made... read full review »

I think everyone should go to cancun, mexico once in there life and stay at the riu las americas. It was definally the trip of a lifetime. The best trip I ever been on. Me and my husband went and stayed for a week. It wasnt cheap but so worth it. Our whole trip with airfair was 2500 for the week. The whole hotel is just a great experience. Noone was ever rude to us at all. the staff are really great and best of all everything is all inclusive! You can drink, eat, play as much as you want and yes when i say drinks i mean all the liquor, beer, wine whatever you want is included. There is so much to... read full review »

Although an excellent hotel, with excellent services and personnel, the quality of the food and drinks has declined over the last few years--my wife and I have visited about 7 or 8 times because we like the location and have gotten to know the employees well. Regarding the food, we miss top grade beef, such as sirloin and mignon, and fish, such as lobster. We also miss the manchego, gouda and parmesan the once had. Regarding the drinks, we miss top grade scotch and tequila, such as Chivas Regal and Don Julio (although the could also add others). We also particularly miss the peace... read full review »

The RIU Palace was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. We were a little nervious from our drive from the airport to the hotel because there was still a substantial amount of damage from hurrican Wilma. We were pleasantly surprise to see that our hotel was in great shape along with the beach. We couldn't get over the cleanliness. The hotel staff was constantly cleaning. Our room was thoroughly cleaned every day along with clean sheets and it was also freshened up in the evenings along with a clean set of towels. The walls were pretty good at being sound proof. Either that, or we had... read full review »

The RIU Palace was very nice hotel in appearance. It located right on the top of the strip, near where most of the actions are located (market, clubbing, dinning, shopping). The room was comfortable, the bed was a harder than what I used to. The bathroom was spacious. Although, the showering bathtub need to be a little larger and need lighting. The mini bar is stocked up with local liquors, beers, soft drink, and water. All you can drink!! There are 4 indoor restaurants and one outdoor. One of the indoor open most of the day for dinning (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The other three specialty... read full review »

The Rui Palace is just that a 'Palace', the employees are very friendly and work very hard to make your vacation a great one. My wife and I normally get up early, as we were going to breakfast you couldn?t help but notice how the staff was busy cleaning and taking care of the property. The Rui has several restaurants to choose from, but you need to make reservations upon arrival. We ate at two of the specialty restaurants the Brazilian stake house, and the Japanese restaurant. Both were great, and the buffet had a great selection for the rest of our meals. All of the bar staff were... read full review »

Riu Palace was great. Lobby is beautiful and the hotel room had a great view of the ocean. When you are at the hotel, remember to visit the Riu Cancun though. They have different activities there like movie night and bingo. Also, beach volleyball is behind their hotel and there is a small happening disco there. All inclusive drinks at their hotel too. Food was great. The only thing was lining up at the restaurants at 5pm so you can get a reservation at a specific restaurant (eg. French or Spanish) for the next day. Sometimes the line ups started at 4pm or 4:30pm so you would line up for 30-45... read full review »

Rui Palace las american is a beautiful hotel. It is one of the cleanest hotel's I have ever stayed at. The hotel staff was more than willing and very knowlegeable about just about anything. The pool's are beautiful and the beach/pool chair's are very comfortable. The rooms are oversized including the two vanity's in the bathroom. There is plenty of space for clothes. I love the "Open bar"- That really adds a special touch. Our housekeeper was the best!! The things that I think need work on are: The bed's are hard as rocks, to make dinner reservations is very unorganized and inconvient and the walk... read full review »

The Riu Palace was a wonderful all inclusive hotel. It is a smaller resort than the ones I am accustomed to staying at. The rooms are smaller but comfortable. Everything was kept very clean and the staff was more than accomodating. Our room wasn't quite ready at the 3:00 check in time so we went to the buffet lunch and had some drinks. Because we had to wait almost 2 hours to check in they upgraded us to the top floor ocean view room which we were very excited about. The restaurants and food were wonderful. Service was excellent at all of the restaurants. My most favorite thing was the... read full review »

My husband and I have never been to Cancun, or an all inclusive resort. We were delighted with every aspect of this hotel. The staff went out of there way to be friendly and helpful, they were available to meet our every need both inside and outside the hotel. The hotel manager whom we met on the day we checked in was very friendly and was actually very active in seeing to the guests needs. He mingled with guests and was present throughout the resort from 7am to 11pm. The food at all the restaurants surpassed all our expectations. The menu varies, was quite extensive and the choices were... read full review »

From the minute we arrived, it was awesome. Check in staff led us to a lounge table, got us drinks and then checked us in from there. My luggage had not arrived and sensing my distress immediately upgraded us to a ocean front room. It was pure heaven. Everything about this hotel and location on the ocean was first class. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I needed to make several calls to the airlines and to make reservations. Because of the language issue staff very willingly began all the calls for me. It was great having internet availability and the cost was very resonable.... read full review »

This hotel is called a Palace for a reason. The RIU Palace Las Americanas is a gorgeous hotel, very exquisite and clean. The staff works very hard. The pools are great, the views are spectacular. My husband and I thought the food was great. It was not a big deal to make dinner reservations each night for the next night. In fact a couple times we forgot and made them the next morning at breakfast. You may not get your first pick at that point, but you will not have to eat at the buffet. The buffet is good food, just not as romantic and intimate of an atmosphere. And during the day we were... read full review »

The RIU Palace Las Americas was an experience that I would love for everyone to go through. It was awesome the best of the best. It wasn't only close to everything I was looking for it had the most luxuriest rooms, services all around, & clenliness. When we got there the lady at the front desk gave me and my husband the honeymoon suite it wasn't only looking towards the ocean it had a wrap around balcony that look over both the ocean and the holtel strip and pueblo (town). This is the best location to be in in cancun if you want to enjoy the shopping and the night life for everyone from all ages.... read full review »

Hotel was very nice and the staff was great! The grounds were immaculate with wonderful pool, exercise facilities and nice spa. The location was also very convenient to the more active part of the hotel zone. The nightly shows were entertaining as well. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. However, there was a slight to strong musty smell throughout the hotel (probably from the dampness from the ocean seeping into the carpet. The best food choices were with the buffet. We were not overly impressed with the sit-down dinners. We would stay here again but would probably try other locations... read full review »
