Shop Vac will hopefully save my basement!

I am the owner of a 100+ year old home. Last year, we chose to finish our basement and as part of the process, we put drainage tiles in our basement.

In most weather conditions, even excessive rainfall, the basement does exceptionally well-- and remains dry. However, this week in Chicago, we got record high rainfall- 8 inches in one day.

My basement withstood the water levels pretty well-- except for in one room. (of course, the carpeted room). The drainage tiles could not keep up with the excessive water levels.

The rigid 14 gallon Pro Vac is all you will ever need in a vacuum. It has great power to pick up anything from a paper clip to pieces of drywall. I use this rigid vac to clean my bedroom as well as my garage. Forget about buying a cannister vac for some things and buy an upright vac for others. This vacuum with a few attachments is all you will ever need. I love my rigid products especially my vac. no bags, no hassles, clean up wet or dry.
