Fast, light, and no need to disturb your neighbor.

The Quarter Dome packs up at around four pounds. That is crazy light in my book. And you don't have to sacrifice quality to get it. This tent is well made, and all the detail are handled well. Two of those details that I really like are the rain-fly and the zippers. The rain fly has color coded corners to help you get it on right with a minimum of hassle. (If you look at some of my tents, you'll see magic marker notations.) The rain-fly can also be rolled up some after installation, for the view, and adjust back down quickly if circumstances require. light and dry but tight

My daughter and I took the REI quarter dome UL on a 4-day backpacking trip. I loved the light weight, the ventilation, and the vestibules for our boots. She found the interior a little too small . The excellent ventilation was important in the hot nights of a Georgia summer.We had no rain, but the interior stayed dry when tested with an arching spray from a garden hose.
