Those who want an inexpensive way to watch movies with surround sound might like the RCA Home Theater. This home theater system allows consumers the means to watch movies and enjoy fairly decent sound quality. Reviewers find the sound quality good, and they like the affordable price and ease of setup more than anything. The RCA Home Theater gets lukewarm comments from reviewers, such as “This is Good Surround Sound for the Average User” and “Affordable but not Powerful”. There aren’t many bad qualities with this home theater system, other than the somewhat cumbersome controls, but there are apparently not many good points either, making the RCA Home Theater a very average Home Theater system that enhances movie viewing a little, but not much.

Affordable, but not powerful

I recieved this system as a gift.  I like it, was easy to hook up and the retail price is impressive, but I would not have bought it myself.  The system is not very powerful and even at full blast is not loud enough for my liking.  I do like the  fact that it does not have huge speakers to be scattered all over the living room.  Would be great for a kids room, just not the ideal set up for a movie or music lover who wants to really hear what they are listening to.

This is a good surround sound for the average user.

This surround sound has a very good sound and the quality of the sound is good. It is a little hard to use with some componets. We still have not been able to get the tv to come in by itself on the surround sound. If we use the dvd it comes in fine. It is very complicated to figure out.

This Home Theatre System meets my needs. The Volume goes up to 40 which is more than I'll ever use, and the quality is excellent!
