Quiltshops.com search engine makes it easy to find the type of fabric you're looking for.  Whether you're looking for 100% cotton fabric, flannel, or fleece, the search engine will grab your results and return them to you with thumbnail images.  If you prefer, you can also see the results as a list. 

If you know the manufacturer or the fabric name, just plug it in the search box and quickly find which shops have your desired fabric in stock.  In addition to fabric you can also find patterns, books, notions, quilt kits, and more.  You can also find quilting guilds, workshops, shows and locations of local stores in your community.

By using quiltshops.com I've been able to quickly comparison shop for a particular fabric.  For example, if there are 5 shops that sell the identical "Baby Talk" flannel fabric, then I am able to check prices within minutes.   

Another nice option in the search engine is the ability to exclude words from your search.  For example, if you want "yellow roses" but you don't want to see flannel in the resuls, just type in "yellow roses -flannel".   Nothing could be simpler.

Keep in mind that not all shops sell fabric in increments.  Some of the quilt stores will sell fat quarters, 1/2 yd,  3/4 yd and full yard measures.  Some shops have half-yard minimums and still others only sell full yard cuts.   Quiltshops.com does not sell the fabric directly - it serves as a link to connect quilters to independent retailers.
