I'll add another footnote to the top - bass ackwards...I know. I've only used this card a handful of times. Yet my checking account has been credited $1.29. It's not much...but hey, every little bit counts. The more you use the card, the more "cash back" is put into your checking account. I'll take every penny I can get.
I'm doing this backwards... I'm adding a footnote at the top. So far, so good. I used my QuikTrip Rewards Debit MasterCard as a MasterCard the other day for a pizza. Today I used it at QuikTrip to buy gas & get cash back. I paid inside for $10 worth of gas & got $10 cash back; total purchase - $20. At the pump, the price was reduced from $1.49 a gallon to $1.44 a gallon. Five cents off per gallon during the first 90 days and 2 cents off per gallon after that. I raised my review from 3 stars to four. The rest of the original review follows below...
I'm giving 3 stars for now, but withholding final judgment for a while. QuikTrip (see separate review) used to have it's own debit card good for gas & goodies inside the store. During the first 90 days, you'ld get 5 cents off per gallon. After that, 2 cents off per gallon. The debit card was/is linked to your checking account.
Now QuikTrip has teamed up with HSBC to bring out the QuikTrip Rewards Debit MasterCard. This card works the same at all QuikTrips, but now has the MasterCard logo and can be used anywhere MasterCard and/or debit cards are accepted. The therory being, the more you use it, the more rewards you get. Here's a "copy & paste" from the web page...
The Basics:
The Benefits:
From what I've heard & read, I wouldn't buy meat from Omaha Steaks, or use 1-800 flowers. But I do occasionally go to JC Penney. As stated before...the jury is still out on this one. I'll update it if I find anything good or bad. Sorry about the small photo. It's the only one I could find on the Internet. You didn't expect me to scan my own card...did you?
