Quicken Loans — 

Was apprehensive after filling out a web survey for "Lower My Bills," and receiving dozens of e-mails and phone calls from numerous lenders.  A little overwhelming.  Bedford Boone left a good impression, though, so we pursued refinancing with him.  He was able to secure a very low interest rate refinance loan combining our 1st & 2nd mortgages, with no PMI, and great responsiveness.  We went from 5.75% and 8+% to 4.5% FHA.  When it came time to close, all of a sudden, it appeared we would have to pay PMI.  Bedford dug in, found the issue, and resent closing documents directly to the individual closing our loan just in time with no PMI.  Only down side was the submitting the paperwork - there seemed to be issues with communication/info sharing between the client care specialist and the underwriters, resulting in some unnecessary delays. It would be helpful if Quicken gathered all possible contact phone numbers and shared them with each other.  In general, though, there were enough people available to answer questions, so the end result turned out fine.  Last thing to realize - loan was immediately sold to GMAC - and on the same day we were notified by GMAC, also received a second letter from another company saying that GMAC had either sold or changed their name to yet another company.  Keeping our fingers crossed here.
