Started working with Chris Behrns, who did not do a very good job with our loan. We then requested a new Portfolio Manager and were assigned a rep named Mike Bobbish, who was a bit more helpful. At times it seemed he was at the mercy of the process, but all and all he did the best he could to clean-up what was clearly not his mess. Now on to the closing...Jason Shields (Client Care Specialist) did a great job and should be commended for salvaging this deal. His constant communication and upfrontness is what kept me engaged as we moved closer to closing. As for the closing itself, all went well for the most part. There was a breakdown in communication with the closing rep (Brian-Closing Specialist), but his Director-Closing Team (Janelle) saved the day by nipping the issue quickly and making sure we could finish the deal without any further incident. My perception is that when these Portfolio Managers have deals that differ a bit from more mainstream loans (easier loans) as well as deal with customers that are as knowledgeable as they are, they seem to become a bit uncomfortable. My advice is for them not to be so alarmed when you deal with customers who are educated and have an understanding of real estate/lending...we're just trying to help and understand your position, so try understanding ours. It took 6 months from start to finish on our home refinance.
NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they are a client of Quicken Loans
