Last year was our second trip to the walled city, and we loved it. It was celebrating its 400th anniversary with festivals, fireworks, street performers and illuminations that were spectacular. Even though the festivities of '08 are over, the city has so much to offer that everyone who has an interest in history should make it a point to visit. Also, if anyone has a preconceived idea that Canada is wilderness, attractive only to hunters and fishermen, you really need to go to the "coasts". Quebec and Ottawa in the east or Vancouver and Victoria in the west are experiences you won't ever forget. A European experience right over our northern borders.
