I love oatmeal. Always have, always will. My mom used to cook those old fashioned oats for us before school We'd throw on the brown sugar, pour on the milk... wonderful! Then when I was in about 5th grade, this microwavable oatmeal was introduced in the market. It took some getting used to, but I got it down to where I could make it perfectly! Now, my kids won't eat it unless I make it- Grandma doesn't do it right, you see! Still, it has a high sugar content and although it takes great, it's something that concerns me.

Imagine my surprise when I saw the weight control oatmeal. "How bad could it be?", I wondered. On first taste, I wan't too impressed. It's kind of pasty. I thought, "Maybe I should mix one of these with the regular oatmeal..." So I mixed 'em together and cooked them (2 mins, 30 sec) and guess what?! They tasted great! The kids don't even notice a difference. Give it a shot!
