It sounds a bit strange, I know, but my friends and I just celebrated Christmas on Easter Sunday!  Because one of our group had been injured and unable to venture out during the winter holidays, we waited until now to exchange our Yuletide gifts.  Among the things that "Santa" brought me was the Pyrex Storage Plus 10 Piece Set No. 1074951.  What a great idea!

This gift set consists of two 2-cup round bowls, a 3-1/2 cup round bowl, a 4-cup round bowl and a 6-cup rectangular bowl, all made of the famous Pyrex nonporous glass which won't warp, stain or absorb odors and is oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher safe.  Each bowl has a blue plastic cover which fits securely in place to provide safe storage for leftover food.  You can bake a casserole, cover it and store what is left in the very same dish you will reheat it in.  The set is designed so as to be stackable to save precious kitchen shelf or counter space.

MY VIEWPOINT:

Santa knew what he was doing when he picked this out for me.  Discretion forbade me from asking how much this gift had cost but my research for this review indicates that the going price for Pyrex Storage Plus 10 Piece Set No. 1074951 runs between $22 and $32.  This would be a wonderful gift idea for a shower or for a single person setting up a new kitchen.

I love pyrex. That was really nice that you celebrated with your friends. When I was a child we would sometimes have Christmas in July, in addition to our traditional Christmas. There were some family members we would only be able to see during summers in Maine. Really nice review, Anna.

Top Banana, I know a lot of the oldies but that song doesn't come to mind. Hmmm...

I had a wonderful and busy Easter. My weekend is what spawned so many reviews.

I am doing well. I know it will get a little more hectic once the children are out of school for the summer and I will be closer to my due date. I have been blessed with wonderful children who are very obedient and for the most part love each other ;+) They are all excited about the twins arrival; especially Braedan (almost 4) who told Jesus he didn't want to be the baby in the family anymore.

We had a great Easter--it was the finale to our spring vacation. Check out my blog to see what all we did last week.

Okay, I guess I will go Braeden wants some Mommy and me time before the other children get home from school. He is loving the games Don't Spill the Beans and Chutes and Ladders so I think we will be playing those.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by! Deepest regards to you! ~Anna Leigh

Hey, we both have the same color lids! My kitchen is yellow and almond tones so mine aren't a perfect match either. Now I feel like a queen what with my 34 piece of Anchor Hocking I bought at Overstock a couple years ago and this great Storage Plus set of Pyrex. Now all I need is the ambition to get out in that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans!!!!! HAHA!

Come to think of it, you may not be old enough to remember "Get Out In That Kitchen and Rattle Those Pots and Pans!" which was one of the very first Rock and Rolls songs ever recorded I think by Bill Haley and the Comets.

Thanks for checking in and I bet this set with the red lids would go great with your kitchen. Too bad I didn't get the red lids, we could have just exchanged lids!

Take care and I hope you had a nice Easter!

I have a lot of Pyrex and Corningware and I love them both. My Pyrex has the navy blue lids. Now I'm considering the ones w/red lids b/c my nostalgic Coke kitchen is sage green and red ;+)
