Pyrex Grip Rite Dish Review

The 3 qt. Grip Rite Oblong Dish from Pyrex is one of the dishes that I frequently find myself reaching for in the kitchen.  This 9"x 13" clear glass baking dish has a 3 quart capacity, and like all Pyrex products, it's made of durable glass that can be baked, refrigerated, microwaved and even stands up well in the freezer. This dish features longer grips than usually found in baking dishes this size.  I find this especially helpful when sliding it in and out of the oven.

Because it is such a versatile dish, it's great for casseroles, cakes and even small roasts.  In the oven, this baking dish heats evenly.  It's great for popping dishes in the microwave.  At 2", it is not a deep dish.  However, it is rather useful when preparing dinner for my family of four.  This is also great for cold dishes, too.  It's the perfect size of serving a cold dessert to a larger group, like fruit salad or a gelatin dish.

In my experience, Pyrex and other quality baking dishes are  rather easy to clean.  I find that greasing the bottom or giving it a shot of cooking spray really makes the surface nonstick.  If  I've forgotten that step, I find that baked on foods come off easily after a little soaking.  This Grip Rite Dish is a durable product that has lasted through many years of frequent use.
