Scam

Signed up for puzzle buzz to try out. Add said $5/$6 a month plus shipping. Second month I got a charge for $27. Not what was on the add... I have spent less money on real books. The books they send are thin and the activities in them could be completed by my 5 year old in only an hour Not with what they are charging. $6 a book and the book is so thin that it doesn't even last my kids that long. I can pay $1 for coloring activity book from my local store that has more activities for my child then this one does. $6 per book is a joke. Ill keep to my dollar tree activity bold for my kids. Biggest waist of money

infinite billing model made me feel scammed

1

I signed up for Puzzle Buzz in conjunction with Highlights magazine, but made the grave mistake of not reading all the fine print. I thought we were making a one-time purchase to try out Puzzle Buzz. Instead, they continuously send (and bill) customers for issues at a steep price (approx. $10.98 per issue -- it adds up if you do not recognize the infinite billing model right away). This endless cycle only ends after the customer calls to cancel. I cancelled our shipments, but felt scammed by their business model. The magazine was mediocre -- it contains some fun puzzles, but without much variation. My son quickly grew tired of doing the same of "hidden object" puzzles, and so, the magazines did not provide the entertainment I had hoped. And overall disappointing and frustrating experience.

My preschooler loves Puzzle Buzz!

I ordered a subscription to Puzzle Buzz about six months ago. My four year old loves it! There are lots ot different kinds of puzzles like search and find, sticker puzzles, connect the dots, matching, etc. He just loves it when we get them in the mail and sits down immediately to do the puzzles. He has his favorite puzzles in each one but eventually goes back and does the others. I love that it is honing his problem solving and pre-math skills early.  Overall I think that the content is great for someone my son's age (4-5) and there are even some things that are beyond his skill level so we can look forward to going back and doing those. They send two of the Puzzle Buzz at a time which is nice because I can usually guarantee at least an hour of entertainment out of each one.  I like doing the puzzles with my son--I feel like they are good for my brain too. =)  Even though this is expensive, I feel like it is a good value when you look at what else is out on the market in this genre. Cons: price

**Puzzle Buzz and Puzzlemania magazines for kids by Highlights**www.highlights.comFor several years my daughter has enjoyed the fun puzzles in **Puzzlemania**, a fun game magazine from Highlights. Little brother has always been a bit jealous of the arrival of her Puzzlemania and the fact that he couldn't participate in her fun. Now Highlights is offering **Puzzle Buzz**, a game magazine for just his age. Our son loves it! Puzzle Buzz is a fun, interactive magazine for **ages 4 through 7**. Each book has 32 pages of challenges that practice math, reading and problem-solving skills. Generally these can be done completely independently although younger kids may need help with directions initially. **Features of Puzzle Buzz:**Easy mazesBeginners Word searches"What's different?" pagesPhoto puzzlesFun with numbers, letters, sound and wordsDot-to-dotsMatching gamesThere are also three sticker pages and activities in each book.Puzzlemania is a challenging puzzle magazine billed for **ages 7-12**. My daughter loves to take turns finding Hidden Pictures with Mom and my son loves to impress us with his maze skills. As a parent, I am just treasuring this time that they still want to include me in their fun!Highlights makes it easy for shoppers because if you're not sure which books, Puzzle Buzz or Puzzlemania, are right for you child, **you can request a switch at any time.*****My Viewpoint: ***We've been happy with **Puzzlemania** for years and now we're delighted to find **Puzzle Buzz** for our littlest puzzler. **Highlights** does a great job making both of these educational and fun. **Puzzlemania** and **Puzzle Buzz** are great gifts that keep on giving.
