Puzzle Patch Silly Silly Sea Two-Sided Floor Puzzle Review

The Silly Silly Sea two-sided floor puzzle has been a great investment for me. My kids love to work puzzles, and this one was particularly appealing to me since it was a huge (2 X 3 feet) floor puzzle with very large pieces (46 in all). This puzzle is advertised for children ages 3 and up, but a 3-year-old would have a very difficult time working this puzzle. I have an 8-year-old and a 5-year-old who have worked many puzzles, and they still need a little help from me.

Two-sided puzzles are a bit tricky because you have to figure out which side to turn up when setting up to work the puzzle. A few pieces in this one are a little hard to figure out because there is about the same shade of green on both sides in a few select spots.

This puzzle is a lot of fun with a large fish and crab on one side. The other side, my kids' favorite, has an undersea scene with hidden letters and numbers. We spent quite a while finding all of the letters in the alphabet and numbers up to 9 in the puzzle, which made it even more fun.

The pieces have held up well for a couple of years at my house. We found it very reasonably prices at Wal-Mart--I believe it was less than $14.

If you are looking for a large floor puzzle that gives you double the fun with two sides and added play time with hidden letters and numbers, I'd highly recommend the Silly Silly Sea.
