The typical use for this product is to help trap poisoning or gas. I have used it in the past for these purposes and found that it works, but most recently I used it to brush with to whiten my teeth. Every other day for two weeks I would break open a capsule onto a spare toothbrush with just a speck of toothpaste and brush for two minutes. I noticed at least two shades whiter after the two week timeframe and was very pleased with the progress. I also noticed that my breath maintained a wonderful degree of freshness for longer after I started brushing with the activated charcoal. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to whiten their teeth naturally and cost efficiently while avoiding harsh chemicals.

Although not a very well known First Aid kit requirement...Activated Charcoal Capsules are a MUST for all Home and vehicle First Aid kits. The department of Homeland Security Website lists activated Charcoal as an item for your first aid kit. I use the Puritan pride Activated Charcoal capsules. I find them very reliable and cheaper in price than most other brands...especially online during their buy 1 get 2 free days. Activated Charcoal is a natural substance with many uses. The number one use is for food poisoning. The Charcoal absorbs and removes toxins from the gastrointestinal track. It also works great for diarrhea, vomitting and gas. Like some people, I have a love for ice cream, pizza, etc..but have found they do not like me. After consumption of any of these foods the diarrhea will begin. I have had much sucess with activated charcoal when taking before I eat these foods or shortly thereafter. These capsules are a family staple used for combatting various virus's that are picked up. I have also used Activated Charcoal on my pets. My Rottie ate a large amount of tomato plants(toxic) and as recommended on PetPlace.com, I treated her with Activated Charcoal.
