Pro Plan Shredded-My dog is so sick since he has been on this food that my husband had to rush him to the ER tonight....SEVERE vomitting, diarreah, uncontrolled urinating, shivering, hives.......strated will hives, digging at skin, swelling of face and toes...thought it was a reaction to my daughters perfume since it always seemed worse in the morning and they share a bed together,.......until we banned that and the rest of the symptoms started. 

He just called to say he is in the back for testing.  WIll be an hour before they know anything.  We immediately took him off and went back to the store and complained. They said they have had numerous complaints.  Called Purina, they said the same thing and offered to send a coupon for a new bag...how generous considering I never want to feed him ProPlan again.  Been feeding the same strict diet for 4 1/2 years and all of a sudden they feel the need to change the formula.  NOw I have to find a new dog food that isn't going to cause diarreah as any switching of the food does for him.  THANK GOD FOR HARDWOOD FLOORS!!   My husband and I have spent a week straight cleaning up multiple diarreah episodes a day after our 140 lb Great Dane.  If we had crapet, we would have thousands of dollars in damage!   THANKS PROPLAN!!!!!!!!!!  I feel bad to even give the coupon to a friend or family member in fear they would go through the same.  Tonight's trip will cost us hundreds of dollars, which will be worth it if my baby gets better, but needless to say...I'm VERY VERY upset about the formula change

really...you're brilliant!!!!!!...Thanks for your advice. don't know what I with do without idiots like you!!!!!! The ER did say it was an allergic reaction to the new formula in the food he has been on for the past 4.5 years. He was on IV's for 3 days and has recovered. Our Dane has seen the same vet since the day we rescued him 4.5 years ago and obviously knows what care we have given him. You're probably the jackass we rescued him from. What vet school did you go to? Hope I'm never in the deep blue and you're my rescue diver!!!! Obviously not smart enough to be a dive master. You're probably the idiot rep that delivers the food to the store and doesn't take time to talk to the managers like I've heard from several different stores that are seeing numerous complaints about the new formula. Let me know when you complete medical or vet school since you seem to be the expert!

I highly doubt it was the food.

YES , WE'RE HAVING THE SAME RESULT (!) AFTER 20 YEARS W/THIS PRODUCT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used this food without problems, however it is helpful to know that some dogs have had reactions to it. It sounds like an allergic reaction to something (hives usually = allergies). Hope he gets better.
