My dog was battling a horrible skin rash for years. We finally found a decent vet who suggested my chocolate lab had a good allergy. Since then, she has been eating the Salmon based Purina Plus dog food and her skin has never been better.

The newest member of our family joined when he was a little over a year old - or so the vet estimated. He is a "rescue dog" that found a home with us. The reason this is important is that we had no idea he had stomach issues when he arrived. (It wasn't mentioned by the shelter until we inquired later) We had to find out the hard way - if you know what I mean. After a few days of cleaning up mess after mess, we had visions of him needing special food from the vet, or medications each day so he could eat. The vet checked him out and gave him a clean bill of health. He also recommended trying food varieties other than those available at the grocery store. We came upon Pro Plan for Sensitive Stomach and have been fans ever since. Our dog can now eat his fill without concern for bringing it back up. One negative to point out is that over the years Purina has succumbed to the shrinking package syndrome. What was 8 lbs a few years ago, is now only 6 lbs.

If you have a pet with real dry skin or a sensitive tummy them you should try this food. My kids(dogs) love the food and have never turned it away. The ingredients are very good and it is one food that was not involved in the massive recall. Pro Plan has alot of wonderful products worth trying.

After noticing our new puppy was having tummy trouble, I asked the vet's office what they recommended. One of the staff members suggested I try Pro Plan. We started with the puppy formula, then once our dog was a year old we switched to the adult formula. It has been four years since we started using this product with our Boston Terrier, and nothing else has come close to being so digestible. Once we tried another brand that we had gotten a deal on, and it turned out to be a disaster. Our dog became very gassy, and wouldn't eat due to discomfort. After realizing it must be the new food, we switched back to Pro Plan for Sensitive stomachs. Immediately we noticed a change, our dog was more comfortable and began eating normally again. Pro Plan comes in both dry and canned varieties.

We have two Golden Retrievers and one of them has a chicken allergy.  He gets nasty ear infections and itchy skin if he eats a dog food with chicken in it . Like most dog owners, we have tried just about every expensive, premium/holistic dog food under the sun.  While some of them were okay, I wasn't totally satisfied with the results, especially with the prices we were paying.  I didn't feel like their coats were looking and feeling as good as they should.  We even had trouble keeping weight on our dogs on some of the more expensive dog foods we tried.  After extensive research and reading several reviews, we finally decided to try Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach and WOW!  What a transformation in their coats, even after just a little over 2 weeks on this food!  Their coats are really filling out nicely and they look better than they ever have before!  They actually have a nice shine to their coats now!  I really like the ingredients in this food, especially the salmon and the fact that there are no corn fillers.  I'm also happy with amount of protein it has (26%), which is not too high and not too low.  It's just right.  It's perfect for our two young, active Golden boys and they both really seem to enjoy eating it.  I highly recommend Pro Plan!

We rescued our dog from a local shelter, and when we got her, more than half of her hair was gone.  She had been badly abused in a puppy mill and needed help for sure.  One of the first things the vet told us to do was to get her on a sensitive dog food that could help her skin.  We started her on this ProPlan Sensitive and haven't looked back! One of the best features of this food is that it is gluten-free.  We believe a large part of our dog's skin issues is related to a gluten allergy.  She regularly breaks out in scabs and hives and itches a lot.  We know this food is also good for her because she is a senior dog and doesn't need to gain any more weight! I believe this Sensitive dog food would be great for any dog, regardless of their skin sensitivity.  Why not keep your dog healthy by not putting harmful things into its body?  Help your puppies and dogs out and buy them ProPlan Sensitive formula dog food soon!

I went through many food over the 16 years of one dachshund and 11 years of another, this cured all that ailed. They don't throw up anymore, their coats look shiny and thick and they really like it. People stop me on a reg basis and ask what I feed them they look really good and their dry skin conditions have ceased. I would recommend this to anyone who cares about their dogs digestive system and making them happy.

I have a 9 year old Jack Russell Terrier who has had skin allergies and stomach problems his whole life.  I had tried expensive prescription skin medications, herbs, medicated shampoos, etc. and had done a great deal of research on skin allergies in dogs.  He would scratch constanly until his skin was bleeding.  Also, he would vomit frequently and get horrible stomach aches. I had to give him antacids and prescription stomach medications daily.  He almost died last summer because he ate a piece of plastic and mulch from the flower beds due to the severe stomach aches.  He had to have surgery to remove the materials from his stomach.  He was miserable.  I started researching types of dog foods after this emergency and found Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin Sensitive Stomach dog food.  I have been amazed at how much better he is.  He is a totally different dog - he is the healthiest he has been his whole life.    He has stopped vomiting and the stomach medications are gone.  He does not dig or scratch anymore.  I know the food has been the cure, because he ate puppy food which was for a new puppy my daughter got and within minutes was vomiting.  I would recommend this for to any owner who has a dog with allergies or stomach issues.
