This is the only dry cat food my cat will eat. for the longest time he would only eat canned food. Someone gave me a sample to try and my cat ate it. I was amazed. He digests it easily. It can be found at most stores, you do not have to go to the pet specialty store to get it.

Purina One has come out with this cat food called Smartblend in the Salmon and Tuna flavor. I recieved a sample bag of this for my cat to try. It came as a 6 ounce bag and contains real Salmon which is listed on the ingredents as the first ingredient. Purina One makes sure there is Omega-6, antioxidants and plenty of protein in this cat food. **Adult Cats:** When feeding your cat any cat food, it always depends on the age, how much activity your cat(s) do and the environment that they live in. It is recommended to feed your cat(s) on a free eating basis but you should measure how much you are giving them. By using the free eating basis they can nibble all day long and remain happy kittys. **For Kittens:** Purina says they should be starting solid foods at 3-4 weeks old and to be sure to keep the food moistened for them so it will be easier for them to eat and digest. After weaning, about 6-8 weeks of age,they should be eating dry kitten food or moist by this time. This is **Made in the USA** by Nestle Purina Pet Care Co. in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ever since I switched dry food brands to Purina One, my 13 year old cat is behaving as she did when she was much younger. Her energy came back, her coat is soft, and she's more like herself again. I cannot believe what this food has done for her. It worked so well with my cat, that I changed my dogs' dry food to Purina One as well. Same results. I am one happy customer! Purina One Salmon and Tuna Flavor Cat Food is a good natural choice for your cat. I use this brand and fancy feast brand most often with my cat and she is now 12 years old and hasn't had any health issues. She is a healthy weight and active and her fur is healthy and shiny. I really think her good health is from feeding her better quality food. Since I only have one cat I opt to buy the more expensive brands of food since one cat doesn't really eat too much. A large bag of Purina One dry food will last her for several months. I like how this cat food has a pleasant smell. It seems to be made of natural ingredients and doesn't have any artificial dyes or flavors added. I think the more natural a pet food is the better. Artificial dyes and colors are not good for people so they certainly wouldn't be good for pets. I would like to see Purina One come out with a natural line of wet canned food for cats next.

Wow. So what else can I say, except that obviously Purina knows what it's doing? My cat absolutely loves this food. She's always been a fan of seafood-type foods, so I wasn't surprised that she loved this food in the first place. But it's really hilarious that now, all I have to do is shake the food bag, or the food bin that I keep the loose food in, and she will come RUNNING. If she's outside and I'm trying to get her in, but she wants to stay outside, I can seriously shake that bag or bin with food in it, and she will come in as fast as possible, and hop up to get her food. And I have to say that I will always give her at least a few bits of food for it, as I plan to use this little trick as much to my advantage as possible. But really, you'd think she was a dog the way she comes running for this food. I've given her other food, and yeah, she'll eat it, but never with this much...happiness. She's my cat, so I know her, and I can just tell that she really enjoys this food.

Purina products has always been what I feed regularly to my pets both dogs and cats and I highly recommend the all Purina products. The price is right for the product and yet I would like it to be cheaper but I don't buy cheaper than Purina. The Purina One products have real meat as their first ingredient and this is what I want. In 1993 I switched my dogs from Purina Dog Chow to Purina One because it did not have soy in it, however Purina One products have soy in them now. Too many changes are not good for me. My cats have been on this for 10 years and the size is one thing that keeps me buying this product since I have a cat that only has two teeth she can crunch this size and no bigger. The new SMART Blend seems to be close to the regular salmon flavor. I would like to see more fish and some vegetable instead of the soy and the gluttens are no no no. Our cats need high protein and they do not digest carbohydrates too good. When they are able to hunt they get what their prey eats in the stomach but they don't need wheat, corn and especially not soy. However, I will admit that my cats are healthy dispite the disabilities and therefor I trust this product 100 percent and continue to purchase it. Quality of Ingredients This is the dry cat food that I always buy for my cats. The only thing I don't like about the ingredients is the wheat glutten and some of the fillers. What I love about the product is that it's main ingredient is fish and it has L-lysine, fish oil, taurine and mostly all really good and needed ingredients. The shape is perfect for my older cats and they have done well on it for the 11 years that I have had them. I can get it at the grocery store for a reasonable price. Just a few adjustments to the ingredients and it would be perfect. Flavor Selection My cats like the salmon and tuna flavors and not too much chicken flavors. My cats and all of the stray cats that I rescue prefer Purina One over the cheaper cat feeds that have a main ingredient of corn. Purina ones main ingredient is protein.

Our cat doesn't always get along with the kids but they do have something in common. They are both quite picky. She will not eat just any cat food and for the longest time has survived and thrived on Friskies and sometimes Meow Mix but that was it. I recently ordered a sample of Purina One Smartblend Salmon and Tuna Flavor. I filled the cat dish with it one day when we were out of food. She told me she loved it (telepathically, of course as our cat isn't one of the English speaking varieties). She also much to my surprise refused to eat her Friskies after that. I'm not sure when our cat started making the food purchasing decisions in this household but I suppose it speaks well of the product that I went out and bought it for her after that. I was happy they sent a coupon along with the free sample as it is a bit more expensive than the Friskies and Meow Mix but not by an excessive amount. One thing that I personally like about this cat food is the smell. It is refreshingly low-key. I have the 3.5 pound bag sitting beside me as I do this review and I am not smelling CAT FOOD like I would with the other 2 brands. Our picky cat liked it so maybe your cat will as well.

My youngest son and I did a taste test with our cat, Sweetie, and there is no question that Sweetie prefers** Purina ONE SMARTBlend for Cats, Salmon and Tuna Flavor **over his IAMS. I was very surprised! We gave Sweetie a small bowl of his normal IAMS and a small bowl of Purina ONE SMARTBlend for Cats, Salmon and Tuna Flavor, side by side. He sniffed them both and looked confused, so Jesse put his hands over the IAMS and Sweetie started eating the Purina One. Then we took away the Purina One and left the IAMS for him. He took a few bites, then Jesse put the Purina back down beside the bowl of IAMS. Sweetie immediately went back to the Purina and ate it all then walked away. I guess that proved it. In a taste test, my cat prefers Purina One SMARTBlend Salmon and Tuna over IAMS. That's really a good thing because the prices are comparable, and IAMS is a good quality cat food, but I'm impressed with the ingredients in the Purina ONE SMARTBlend for Cats, Salmon and Tuna Flavor and if Sweetie prefers it, then Sweetie will get it.   Our cat Vivo thrives on **Purina ONE** dry foods.  **Purina**'s latest, the **SMARTBlend Salmon and Tuna** pleases her, but still comes in second to her preference for any **Purina ONE **that includes a *hairball* preventative formula.  How do I know?  She exhibits howling delight when I pour from the *hairball* formula bag and only mild interest when I offer this **SMARTBlend Salmon and Tuna**.  Little can she know that salmon -- actual salmon -- is the first ingredient in this bag and that omega-6, antioxidants, and proteins are touted on the front of the bag.  These may be the biggest and best bets in this dry food.  Corn and a variety of meals -- not always favorites with health-oriented consumers -- are also included in this product. As when introducing other new foods (we *do* try), I initially poured just a small amount of **Salmon and Tuna** kibbles into Vivo's regular dishful of food.  **Purina** suggests a gradual introduction of seven to ten days, but Vivo made a quick adjustment possibly because her favorite food is also a type of **ONE**.  Adjustment or not, we're back to Vivo's favorite, and I'm wondering again whether I might not find a more nutritious brand to suit her *and* her tastebuds.

I discovered Purina ONE Natural Blends some time ago when I was trying different cat foods trying to find one that both my cats at the time liked. At the time one cat needed weight control food so I bought Purina ONE Natural Blends Weight Control and they both seemed to like it. Once I no longer had the cat that needed the weight control formula I started buying Maia Purina ONE Natural Blends Salmon and Tuna. She loves the stuff. My roommate has a kitten, and I've been told kitten food is supposed to be every cat's favorite, but my cat never wants the kitten food, she prefers her Purina ONE. So does the kitten, actually! They fight over it sometimes! It's a hard food but not too hard. Not a smelly food either. Maia is about seven years old now and the vet says she needs her teeth cleaned for the first time ever, so I guess it does a pretty good job of keeping them clean. There are always deals and coupons available for it, too!
