I have a long hair cat, who frequently throws up and hacks up hair balls. I have tried many kinds of dry cat food, and have yet to find something that works 100% on stopping hair balls. This kind of food didn't make much of a difference in the frequency, or amount in which she vomited. I made her finish off the large bag I bought to see if it would start helping her after she was on it a while, and it did not do what it claims. Normally she meows and twines thru my legs when I fill her bowl, and with this kind she didn't do that, and picked at it like she didn't especially care for it. Quality of Ingredients I didn't like reading the ingredients and seeing the by-products and fillers in a food that claims its much healthier. I also would say the ingredients are not the greatest in quality. Flavor Selection My cat didn't like the flavor very much, and she didn't gobble it down like she normally does with other kinds of food. I finished off the bag but I will not be buying another bag because I know that she didn't like it.

Purina One Indoor Advantage Cat Food, Hairball and Healthy Weight Formula is another cat food health product that I just recently started giving to my cat as he has a lot of trouble with his fur balls and constantly eat grass so I wanted to look out for him and personally picked out a cat food product that is designed and meant for hairballs and keeping him healthy as he is becoming a bit chunky. I like the flavours that this Purina brand is sold in as it gives variety and choices that my cat enjoys, and he loves his turkey so that fact that it mentions it's made of real turkey makes him one happy cat. This cat food also presents other health advantages like vitamins A and E, omega fatty acids which promotes healthy skin, shiny coat and bright eyes. Also states to provide a strong immune system and natural fiber for digestive health. Furthermore is packed with calcium, other vitamins and minerals, to supports bone and joint health too. Purina is a brand for keeping cats healthy and I would highly recommend using that product when looking for healthy alternatives in cat food.

I have always had the opinion that Purina makes the best cat food in my price range. My cat has a ridiculously sensitive digestive tract, so I was looking for a food that did not make her sick, especially in my new home on my brand new carpeting. Purina is a well known company and I had always read good things about their pet food. A friend of mine also had a cat who suffered from a sensitivity to a lot of cat foods and she told me about this food when we were talking about our pets. I decided to try it out and it was a great choice. My Siamese also has a tendency to over eat, so I can only give her a small amount at one time. I quickly saw a change in her digestive issues and she was getting less hairballs than before. She also lost some weight because of the healthy weight aspect of the food (I do not know if it was because of the food exactly or because she became more active once she was not sick all the time). This food was a lifesaver for my cat, Jade, and I think it would be great for any indoor cat.

I have four indoor cats that range in age from 4 years old to 21+ years. Since they are indoor cats, I am concerned about giving them good food that also keeps their weight in check. I used give them IAMS because it has such a good reputation, but it was way too rich for them, and they didn't digest it well. I have also had issues with them with hairballs. I saw the Purina Indoor advantage at the pet store, and decided to give it a try. Typically I give them the dry Purina along with a can of fancy feast twice a day. They love it, and the hairball issue disappeared. The other thing I like about the Purina One is that it contains real chicken. It's less expensive than the premium cat foods, but has the same healthy ingredients. The only flavor I've come across is chicken, which is my cats' favorite any way. Quality of Ingredients Real chicken is one of the main ingredients. Flavor Selection I typically only see this type in chicken flavor; I am not sure if there are other flavors.

For our cats, this is their main food source we give them as they eat this food daily along with splitting one can of wet food amongst the three of them. Our cats are healthy, fit, and active and we have very rarely needed to take them to the veterinarian's office. Quality of Ingredients Has a good mix of ingredients and a pretty high percentage of protein which is important for a healthy cat. I'd recommend this for adult cats (age one and over) and to get a specific kitten formula if you have kittens. If you have both adult cats and kittens, it is perfectly safe for them to share the kitten formula (as this has a higher protein percentage which is healthier for them). Flavor Selection I rated this lower because this product only comes in one standard flavor. However, Purina also offers a number of similar products to this one including the healthy metabolism, hairball control, salmon, and chicken and rice to name a few I am familiar with.

Our cat is 12 years old, and not very active. After switching to this formula, she has become more frisky and friendly with the family. Quality of Ingredients I like it that my cat is getting a nutritional balance as well as a the nutrients she needs to live a long life. My mom uses this food as well with her 17 year old indoor cat. We rescued our cat form the local humane shelter. She weighed in at 17 pounds the first time we took her to the vet!! The vet told us it was because she was in the cage for a while and was iunable to exercise. After many months of her not losing weight, he switched her to this formula. The guide on the bag tells you exactly how much to feed your cat for a healthy weight loss rate. She now weighs in at 13lbs!! He wants her to get around 10, so we are continuing with the stated food amount. This has really helped her. Flavor Selection My cat know when it is time to eat, and she eats every morsal. It is really funny, because she will not eat people food, (even cheese), but she loves this. The variety of flavors in each bag are perfect a finicky cat.

I had gone from one food to another for quite a bit of time trying to find a cat food for my cats. One of my cats has a very sensitive stomach and gets sick with a lot of different cat foods. My cats also both have really long hair, one is part Siamese and her hair can get really matted. So, it took forever to find a cat food that kept my cats hair healthy and sleek as well as a food that didn't get my other cat sick. I also have a limited budget so I wanted to find a food that wasn't super expensive. This food is the best one I've found for the price. I've been using it for a year or so and both of my cats hair is smooth and my cat with the sensitive stomach has been a lot better. He very rarely gets sick and when he does it's usually because he just eats so fast because he likes it so much! This food is also one of the more inexpensive brands so I can buy over twice as much for the same price as buying brands like science diet. The only downside, is compared to the brands like science diet, my cats do go to the bathroom more. It runs through them more easily for the sensitive stomach, etc. But to me it's no big deal cleaning the litter box just a little more often, especially if it means cleaning up cat puke less often! Flavor Selection Both of my cats love the flavor of this food. In the past with other foods they would pick through it and not eat certain pieces. With this food they happily eat all of it.

I have a Siamese who is now 12 years old. This is the only dry food that she can eat that does not cause her stomach to become upset. I have tried cheaper brands through the years and she has problems keeping it down. Her coat is healthy and she is full of energy even at 12. Her weight since putting her on this dropped by several pounds. Actually it dropped by 5 pounds and she looks so much better. He teeth are white again, her coat is shiny, few hairballs and coughing them up. I think the coughing up hairballs is from eating things she is not suppose to around the house. So I can not blame the food for that. I give her this dry food and a tablespoon of wet food. If I try switching her from this food she is not a happy kitty and lets me know by standing in front of whatever I am doing. She has been on ONE from the time of being a kitten. As I said I have tired other brands with her but she gets sick and I go back to ONE. Flavor Selection I am not sure on the flavor since I am not trying that but she seems happy.

On a tighter budget than one who can afford the high-end foods for cats to protect their health, I found this cat food to be the best for the money. Our cat loves it and she has had no more UTI's. She had one when I first adopted her but none since I switched to this food. She is not a fussy cat when it comes to eating so I can't say all cats will love it like she does but she acts as if I have given her quite the treat when she is fed and runs to it like it's a can of tuna.

 I adopted my cat from an animal shelter about ten years ago.  She was one year old at the time, so she's eleven now.  She seems healthy and happy except for her constant throwing up of hairballs.  She pukes almost daily and no amount of brushing, fish oil or changes to the diet do anything about it.  I tried this cat food on the chance that it might actually help her.  Not only was it useless, the ingredients are definitely sub-par. **Purina ONE Indoor Advantage Hairball & Healthy Weight Cat Food **seemed like it was going to be perfect for my cat, Lynx.  She's an indoor cat and she has a major hairball problem.  The bag says that the Indoor Advantage Hairball & Healthy Weight formula offers the following: - Real Turkey - contributes protein for strong muscles, including a healthy heart - Natural Fiber Blend - helps minimize hairballs and promotes healthy digestion - Antioxidant Rich - nutrition for immune health - Omega Fatty Acids & Vit. E - for healthy skin and coat I've gone through an entire bag of this cat food and haven't noticed one difference in my cat.  She still pukes all the time and her health/appearance don't seem to have improved any.  This cat food was a total disappointment and I would not recommend it.  It didn't do anything and it's mostly made of "filler" and not quality ingredients. Quality of Ingredients In addition to that, I don't like this cat food because of the ingredients.  The first three ingredients are 1) brewers rice, 2) corn gluten meal and 3) poultry by-product.  It's not until the 4th ingredient that we see turkey.  Shortly after that is soybean meal and grain corn to name a few others.
