Slurpy's Experience

Howdy you all, my name is Slurpy-I am the fastest tongue in the west. I'll explain that in a minute, but first let me tell you that I am 11 years old-but my friends say I don't look a day over seven. I am a 13-inch Beagle dog. Just in case there's any confusion, the 13 inches refers to my height-not my length as you might have assumed.

My favorite food is...well...food. I'll eat just about anything. I'm like a vacuum cleaner. When my Dad spills something on the floor-it's GONE! No need to get out the mop or broom, I just slurp it up and my stomach does the rest. I have a big tongue for slurping with, too-and I'm fast-the fastest tongue in the west!

I am so grateful for what my Dad spills on the floor that I sometimes leave him a little gift on the carpet. I think he likes my gifts because he always scoops them up. He doesn't use his tongue, though. I wonder why?

Anyway, there is one food in particular that I enjoy slurping: Purina Dog Chow Senior 7+. Let me tell you a secret: When my Dad's not looking, I like to chew the bottom of the bag so it all spills out. I figure if it's on the floor, it's legal. I can slurp it up (slurp slurp slurp).

Uh oh! My Dad caught me! He looks awful mad. Later on I'll leave him a gift on the carpet-that should cheer him up. But for now, I better run between his legs and out the doggy door. See ya! (Zoom!)

The Purina Promise

DOGS SEVEN YEARS AND OLDER may still look like young dogs - they may even show playful puppy behaviors. But the fact is, as dogs age, their nutritional needs change. The great-tasting, easy-to chew kibble in Purina® Dog Chow Senior 7+® provides the specialized nutrition older dogs need. This includes the Purina Ulti-Pro Enhanced Protein System® to help maintain lean body mass and a healthy immune system. It is perfect nutrition to help your senior dog Build, Replenish and Repair his body every day...blah blah blah...

My Experience

I must admit I can't stay mad at Slurpy. When he looks at me with those big sad mascara eyes, my heart melts like a stale cube of butter in a frying pan with the stove burner turned all the way up. I can't blame him for wanting to eat Purina Dog Chow Senior 7+.

I like the fact that this product does not spoil easily. It is flexible and convenient. I can serve it to Slurpy dry, or add water. I normally pay around $13 to $14 for a 17.8 pound bag. This dog food comes in little nuggets of different shapes and colors. Slurpy likes them all-surprise surprise!

I appreciate the fact that Purina is thinking about the health of my dog. For each stage of Slurpy's life, they have a different dog chow. Since Slurpy is now in his golden dog years, this particular formula of dog chow seems to be working really well for him. His friends weren't lying: he truly does not look a day over seven. He is still one lean mean dog machine-and the fastest tongue in the west!

How do you rate this dog chow, Slurpy? "Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof!"

He says he rates it five nuggets.

Thank you for the huge compliment! Unfortunately Purina did not pay me, so I guess I am just mere consumer reporting my experience and that of my dog. Actually, to be perfectly honest, my dog is vice president of marketing at Purina.

This review sounds way too much like an advertisement to be trustworthy. I have a feeling the author has some sort of stake in the company.

"Way too many low-quality ingredients in it for me." For you? You mean for the dog, right? lol.

This review is well-written but I totally disagree with your assessment of it. Way too many low-quality ingredients in it for me.

Maybe I should try some Purina. My boogie-woogie-beagle-boy only rates his Iams as "Woof, woof, woof" (not nearly as good as stealing an unguarded slice of pizza off the kitchen table).
