Such a cute treat that is healthy for my dog!

5

I just recently tried these for the first time for my dog and he loves them. I think he really feels like he's getting a special treat that's not from a box of regular dog treats and I make it that way by putting them in a special puppy cookie jar. Beneful Baked Delights look and must taste like a home cooked treat because he gets so excited for this treat. I also like that they are very affordable, along with the other Purina and Beneful products I use for my animals. I love that they are not just a treat that has no nutritional value because they do! They look like a treat that is yummy but probably no good for my pups diet; kind of like a human's normal treat. Haha! I consider this to be the dogs version of a popular Diet Program for human's snack or dessert. He doesn't know it but he's getting something that tastes fantastic and is fantastic for him. Way to go Beneful! Just another reason why I love Purina and all of its byproducts!

Thumbs Up From Both Me and My Dog!

I'll be the first to admit that my dog is on the pickier side when it comes to treats but I was sure he'd like Purina's Beneful Baked Delights when I saw them in the store and thankfully I was right! I purchased the Stars with Bacon and Cheese and they were a hit! I liked that they were a good size for his little mouth (he's a Chihuahua). They're not small, but they were probably about two or three bites for him. They're also not hard treats, which is nice. They're more like a crumbly, shortbread short of texture who is nice and a fun change from traditional biscuits. He really liked the bacon and cheese combo and even gobbled up any crumbs that fell while he was devouring his treat. I only feed him one at a time though since they are a bit larger than his regular biscuits. He doesn't seem to mind though. These aren't the cheapest treats around, but they're a good quality and are a good value since you get many servings in each bag. If you have a larger dog you will go through them faster and they may not be as good of a value for you. The 8.5 ounce pouches are on sale quite often and I usually stock up then. These definitely get a thumbs up from both me and my dog!

Great little treat!

I first bought these last year around Christmas for my dog. She eats almost anything but does have her picky moments. I had a coupon and since she eats Beneful chow and occasionally the wet meals, I figured she'd like these too. With the coupon, it was a good price to take the chance and if she didn't like them, I know my daughter's dogs would eat them. She loved them! I put them in her stocking for Christmas and she's been hooked on them ever since. Since she's a tiny breed, these cookies are just the right size and just tender enough for her to get into her little mouth and break apart. Many treats on the market are just too big for her to eat, but these treats were just right. I've only been able to find 2 varieties in the stores, so I do hope they start making more choices as my little dog does like her varieties. The boxes are rather small for the price you pay, but with a coupon, it makes it reasonable.

Dog didn't care for them

I only purchased Purina Beneful Baked Delights for my dog once because they weren't up to par for her palate. These cookies look and smell like regular human cookies for the most part, which presented a problem later. When I first gave her a cookie she just looked at it. She gave it a couple of sniffs and licked it before eventually eating it. This would happen every time I would give her these snacks. She didn't seem to enjoy or detest these them. She definitely had a laissez-faire approach to these treats. She didn't beg for them or jump for joy when they came out, but if it was laying on the floor she'll eat it. Because these cookies are made with shortbread it presented issues with human cookies. Despite not caring about Beneful Baked Delights she would take a liking to regular short bread cookies. For a short period of time I would leave the room and come back to find my cookies gone and my dog licking her mouth. Luckily this didn't last long. After she finished the box of Baked Delights I didn't purchase them again.

Mediocre Treats

These are among some of the more expensive treats I have bought and tried with my dog. They have a variety of different flavors to choose from and are biscuit like treats. They are geared at being healthier option treats which was appealing to us because our large four-legged baby is about fifteen pounds overweight at this time. They are best for a medium or large size breed dogs based on their size. They do have a funky smell to them to describe it at best. Unfortunately, my own fur baby did not care for these treats. I tried a couple of the different flavors they have for this particular treat with him and none have won him over. The packaging also does not do anything for keeping them fresh after being opened, so if they are not given frequently they can go stale before the box is finished. Overall they may be a good treat and healthy option for other dogs but just not the right fit for us.

Absolutely Delightful!

My dogs love their treats. I like to switch it up often, but always find myself coming back to Purina products. The Beneful Baked Delights are fantastic. They smell terrific (even to me)! They are eye-appealing with the cookie covered in bacon and cheese bits. Both of my dogs will do every trick they know (without command) just to obtain one of these delicious morsels. Our pug suffers from a sensitive stomach, so to find treats he can have can be quite the task. With the Baked Delights, he is able to be rewarded without having a nasty reaction to any ingredients. It's as though he knows these treats are good for him; they are the only ones he will take! The bonus to these treats are that they come at an amazing price and are so easy to come by! Most 'special' snacks offered for dogs with allergies and sensitive stomachs come at a huge hit to the pocketbook and can only be purchased at certain locations. My household loves Purina and Purina products!

Dogs need a treat to.

My dogs always watch my kids as they eat a treat, such as a cookie or a cupcake, and want one so bad and sit and whine for it without getting anything. After seeing this dog treat that is actually more or less a dog cookie in the store I figured that they deserved to have a treat too since they don't get to eat any of our human food treats. I thought that these were a great idea and they had a few different types that were different flavors so I bought one for all three of my dogs. These are nice and soft so they are easy for the dogs of any size to be able to eat it. As soon as I gave this to the dogs they ate them up so fast, so I know that they must of been good. They are a great treat that I love to give to the dogs every now and then and the dogs love when they get one. They even have fun different toppings on them that make it look like they have some kind of sweet candy on top, they are the perfect treat for the dogs.

My dogs love these treats!

I went to my local pet supply store in search of a new, special treat to give my dogs. I asked the sales representative if they had any recommendations for me, and that is when she showed me these. She told me that she feeds Purina Beneful Baked Delights to her dogs all the time. When I brought home the box of treats, my dogs were so excited! I opened the box, and they went crazy over the smell. These dog treats are very cute, and they look almost like a cheese shortbread. My dogs loved the taste of them from what I could see. They gobbled the treats up so quickly! Purina Beneful Baked Delights are made from real meat and grains. I love knowing that these treats are healthy and good for my dogs to eat and enjoy. Another aspect that I enjoy about these dog treats is how inexpensive they are! I would definitely recommend these dog treats for anyone with dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Purina Beneful Baked Delights: My Dogs Loved Them!

5

One of the local shelters has a raffle twice a year to raise funds to care for animals that are surrendered or found as strays. They have gift baskets of donated items and I happened to be the winner of one of the baskets. In addition to dog food and toys, there were a lot of different treats and the Baked Delights were one of them. There were three different types of Baked Delights; the Stars, Quacks and Hugs. Both of them were well received by the large dogs because of the bacon and cheese flavoring. The treats are not small but they aren't huge; they are the perfect size for my four large breed dogs. There were only a couple of broken stars in the box and the little dog ended up with those. They don't have a strong odor or scent to them but even if the dogs are in the next room, they knew exactly when I pulled the box off the shelf and started to open it. They only got one of these treats a day but they really loved the taste of them. Knowing this, I wanted to get another box but have not been able to find them in any of the local pet stores that carry Purina products or items in the Beneful series. There is a chance that they have been discontinued but I do see the Quacks treats in stores. These can be a little messy for large dogs; they tend to chomp on them and get crumbs everywhere but they always cleaned them up off the flood. The downside it that when I am making cookies in the kitchen all four of the large dogs sit there and watching me (with very guilty eyes) when I am making star cut-out cookies. They see them being decorated and assume that they are the Baked Delights. When they were having these they had no gas or loose stool from them which is always a perk when trying out new treats with them.

Dog not interested

2

I have a miniature dachshund, she's a little over five years old, but she has pretty bad teeth. She still has all of them, they're just not the best set of chompers out there. She isn't a fan of milk bone treats at all and I figured it was just because it only had one flavor, so I thought since these treats had all the different colored bits and pieces, they'd have a few different flavors to keep my Lyla interested. I did the whole get her excited for a treat thing and then gave her the treat. She immediately dropped it on the floor and looked at me like I was a crazy person for giving it to her. I broke the treat up into smaller pieces hoping she'd be interested in it that way. NOPE, she gave me that same look, like she was saying, "come on mama, give me a real treat, not this funny smelling rock". I gave my mom the rest of the treats in the box to give to her miniature chihuahua thinking my dog was just picky. Guess what this little doggie did? He dropped it on the floor and stared at my mom like she was crazy. He did pick it up and TRY to chew it up after realizing that my mom wasn't going to give him anything else, but (and this dog had great teeth btw) he wasn't able to chew it up. After my mom broke it into smaller pieces for him he finally ate it. But honestly who has the time to go through all of that EVERY single time they give their furry friend a treat?!? Certainly not me.
