Purina Beggin' Strips Dog Treats Review

I have mixed feelings about these treats, Purina Beggin Strips.  I am big on freebies, and I signed up and received a free full size bag of these in the mail. I have a 5 month old Maltese puppy and she loves these as a training reward or treat. I can break them into 5 servings from one strip, which was a plus. I do have concerns about the healthiness of these treats, and I prefer to just cook regular bacon without the nitrates and preservatives that are added into the Beggin Strips. On the other hand, they are so convenient and my puppy really loves them, so I find myself tempted to buy another bag. For now, I am resisting the temptation and urge to purchase and indulge my pet and am looking for a healthier alternative. Until then, when I want to treat her with bacon, she will get the real thing, but only occassionally.
