It caused bloating and awful smelling gas in my dogs. Like eye watering kind of gas.. My dogs were miserable for days afterwards and only one of them have a sensitivity to some foods. But all 3 of my dogs became sick. Don't waste your money buying this.

This is one of the worst dog foods on the market and another fine example of the old adage "you get what you pay for." A very large percentage of this food is corn and soy meals. As in far more than half. The rest is basically bone meal, and artificial flavorings, colors, and preservatives. It makes my dogs, particularly my Chesapeake Bay Retriever, very sick to their stomachs. They have to go outside to poop several times a day on this food. Honestly I thought this food was famous for this. It really surprises me that it has so many high ratings on here. Even back before I had a dog with stomach issues and food allergies this was one of my last choices. Quality of Ingredients Terrible. As I said above, this food is made mostly of corn, soy, and bone meal. These are the cheapest of the cheap in terms of dog food ingredients. Flavor Selection Plain Jane beef flavored, and by "flavored" I mean that the flavor is an additive rather than "beef" being the actual main ingredient.

I only buy Alpo Prime Cuts dog food for my dog. He gets great nutrition and he loves this! When I fill his dish, he comes running for the food. It helps with his digestive system as well. I would recommend this for larger dogs as it may be hard to chew for smaller puppies.

Purina Alpo Prime Cuts is the only dog food we use in our house. We have a two year old pit bull and a puppy Pit. The puppy is about six to eight months. He is eating Purina Alpo Prime Cuts now. My dogs are healthy and strong. They are very satisfied with their meals at meal time.It is filling for them and they are not over weight. My pits, like most are so full of energy. We walk them a mile or more a day. Buster would walk five miles if we let him. Buster is allergic to fleas and he needs to take meds in the summer along with the flea meds. The Purina Alpo Prime Cuts are perfect for him because it does not upset his stomach while on the meds. He also breaks out sometime from a bug bit. We are not sure which bug he breaks out from. He needs to be given allergy meds when that happens and it makes him sleepy and not want to eat. I know that he will be fine from eating the Purina Alpo daily.

I have to large APBT (pit bulls) and they will go through two med size bags of food a week. Alpo is great my dogs are very healthy and every time I take them anywere people always ask what I feed them. They think that I feed them a more expensive dog food. But thankfully Alpo is very affordable and I can keep up on my dogs eating habits.

I have two Black Labs who are as different as night and day. My youngest one will eat ANYTHING (including the occasional tennis shoe or tennis ball) but my oldest one is VERY particular about what she will eat (even as a puppy she would spit out food if she did not like it.) I have tried lots of dry food with my dogs and Alpo Prime Cuts Dry Dog Food is one that both of them devour. My dogs both seem to have shinier coats and have more energy when eating it, and as an added bonus it is very comparable in price to other dog foods that are on the market. I will stick with Alpo Prime Cuts Dry Dog Food ... my dogs love it.

One of the only good things about this dog food is the fact that it is a cheaper brand. But there are numerous things that I do not like about the dog food listed here. It makes my dog fart, and it makes those smell very rancid. My dog sleeps in our room at night and they are bad enough that it will wake you up in the mifddle of the night. Also, my dog seems to kind of shy away from the food, I am not sure if it tastes bad, or if maybe there is a smell that he does not like. We have tried the wet food as well, which we found, makes my dog have the runs. That is no fun to clean up!!! I will say that we have come to be on a very tight budget, and this food does do the trick, it is cheap, and feeds my dog. However, I cannot wait till we are financially stay again where we can start buying the pedigree dog food like he was used to. This brand just seems to be having the opposite effect of what we want.
