Purex Ultra Free & Clear Laundry Detergent works really well!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I don't have many sensitivities to things so I was downright shocked almost 10 years ago when laundry washed with regular Tide had me itching and scratching myself like I was some kind of heroin addict. I've been using "hypoallergenic" laundry detergents ever since and recently wound up trying Purex Ultra Free and Clear.

This is a liquid laundry detergent that is 100% free of perfumes and dyes. It is designed to be used in all washing machines (including high-efficiency ones) and claims to have "stain fighting power" although the label doesn't elaborate on exactly why or how it does. The company suggests using 1/3 of a full cap for regular laundry but using more for larger or heavily soiled loads. We bought a 170 fluid ounce bottle of this stuff at the local grocery store for just $10. That's a great price in my opinion because that same store wants $9 for a 36 fluid ounce bottle of Tide's hypoallergenic detergent. Easy decision for me!

We've been using Purex Ultra Free & Clear Liquid Laundry Detergent for the past week and it has really impressed us. Not only have we done multiple loads of our regular clothes, towels, etc. but my husband also devoted an entire day to getting all of the stuff that's been sitting down in the basement for literally a year (quilts, tablecloths, hand towels, random doormats, mildewy towels used to clean up after a minor flood, etc.) and was generally in despicable condition. Ultra Purex removed dried dirt and stains and blasted away mildew smells that had been lingering in towels for a very long time.

We are very happy with this liquid laundry detergent and will definitely be buying it again! Highly recommended!
