I was thrilled to receive the sample of Purevia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener from Viewpoints because my recent return to work means a huge influx of coffee--and for that, I need sweetener. I typically use Splenda but I was happy to try something new, and especially, something that is natural rather than a chemical concoction. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste that Purevia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener offers.
What is different about this product is how it is derived from the stevia leaf, which is a sweet, all-natural herb that contains no calories or carbohydrates. For those of us looking for a sweet way to spice up a coffee without adding unwanted calories, this sweetener is a great choice. This is also a safe sweetener for people who have diabetes--because it's not sugar! I wish that it was available when my grandfather, who suffered from diabetes, was alive--because he loved using Sweet 'N Low in his coffee. The Purevia would have been a healthy choice for him to consider using in place of Saccharin options. The Purevia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener can be used in place of sugar in beverages and foods in order to impart a sweet taste without the dangers or unwanted effects that are associated with sugar.
For people who are concerned about living an eco-friendly lifestyle, Purevia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener is carefully packaged in 100% recycled cardboard featuring all-natural inks.
Now, I tried the Purevia sweetner recently when my colleague fired up a pot of what he called "Gnarly Brew" coffee. It was the strongest coffee I'd tried in some time, and I was desperate to sweeten it up. Purevia has a sweetening level that is reminiscent of real sugar; because I am so accustomed to using artificial sweeteners or Splenda (which I find very sweet), the Purevia couldn't rescue the heinous cup of coffee. It just wasn't sweet enough. However, sprinkled on top of my Rice Krispies, the Purevia sweetener provides a sweet taste without adding any sugar or calories to my food.
Overall, I am enjoying Purevia for its sweet taste and versatility. Although you can't bake with this sweetener, I am sure that you will find ways to replace your typical sugar intake with Purevia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener. Whether sprinkled over cereal or fruit, or enhancing an herbal tea, Purevia is an excellent choice to add to your pantry--and your guests will certainly like having another option rather than sugar or an artificial sweetener. I plan to provide the Purevia as an option when I serve hot or cold drinks and desserts--for example, my parents are currently eating healthy and they love fresh fruit. The Purevia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener will allow them to enjoy the fruit's taste while hearkening back to the days of sweet fruit sprinkled with cane sugar.
I've noticed Purevia for sale in my local supermarket (Stop and Shop) for $3.99 a box, which is competitively priced against other sweeteners for sale. Each thin sleeve of Purevia provides the equivalent of two spoonfuls of sugar. I recommend giving it a try and see for yourself how you can replace sugar with this all-natural product!
