Not much different than Splenda
3 star rating

practical, big time home cook, a busy person, Every day computer user, wife & mother of 4 boys, health conscious
Pros

preferable to xylitol or sorbitol, natural ingredients, Preferable to Cyclamates or Aspartame, better choice than Sweet & Low, could detect no aftertaste, no unpleasant aftertaste, Natural, no calories, useful for diabetics

Cons
Does not mention to use for cooking/baki, need a lot, too expensive, Doesn't dissolve well in cold liquids, want to find it in bulk, not packets, can't buy in bulk

PureVia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener —

I am NOT a fan of artificial sweetener.  I don't allow my kids to have it, not even in gum, and I encourage my husband to stay away too.  However, this sweetener is different in that it is derived from a natural herb, so I don't consider it an artificial sweetener... more like a different sweetener.

As for my opinion, I did not cook with it, but I did use it in tea and coffee.  It tasted very similar to Splenda, but it seemed I had to use a little more than I expected to get my drinks sweet enough.  Something else I noticed was that the texture of PureVia is more coarse, whereas the texture of Splenda is more powdery.

Overall, I prefer sugar; however, I will keep this on the shelf for days when I go a little overboard with the sweet tea and coffee.  I believe it's a reasonable alternative.

NOTE: the reviewer indicated that they received a sample of PureVia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener
