I really enjoy the CD's by Pure White Noise, when I need to de-stress, relax, meditate or sleep they have the CD I need!
The two I currently have are ( Distant Thunderstorm ) I actually sleep to this one it keeps my mind from roaming when I'm trying to sleep and it's 73 minutes of thunder and rain that sooth's you.. Not.. scare you.. there are No loud crackle, cracks, bangs and booms! to scare you out of your mind in the middle of your sleep... No! music instruments either...just Nature!

I live in an apartment across the street from a bus stop, where city busses noisily idle throughout the night. The noise kept me from sleeping, even when I closed the window.
I did a search for "block noise CD' and found the Pure White Noise website, among others. There I found an extensive collection of different sounds that claimed to block out noise. After listening to the sound samples, I wound up choosing the 'Comforts of Home 3-Pack' of CDs that includes Soothing Air Conditioner, Calming Fan and Peaceful Air Purifier. And wow...did they work beautifully!
