As a lover of George Strait, I have always enjoyed watching this movie- over and over. I have seen it so many times I could recite the whole movie. Not only are the characters great, the soundtrack is just as beautiful

The plot is Dusty Chandler (Strait) is a super star in the country music world, but his shows have the style of a '70s rock concert. One day he takes a walk - out of his overdone concerts to find his real country roots. Not only does he go back to his roots, he finds something that's always been lacking in his life- romance.

Although Strait's acting skills leave to be somewhat desired, he does it to the best of his ability- and comes out with a bang!!

Lesley Ann Warren plays his manager, Lula Rogers, and even though she is a wonderful actress, she tries too hard in this movie.

If you have not seen the movie yet, I suggest it! You will love the end of the movie, and the particular song he sings. It makes you want to fall in love!!
