* Bright copper-amber colored, with short, dense beige head.
* Rich malt nose is caramel-toffee aroma backed by fruity esters.
* Fruity-caramelly entry expands with toasty malt flavor. Hop bittering challenges malt at midtaste.
* Finish is palate-coating malt flavors offset by resiny hop bittering on tongue.
* Body is medium-full; carbonation is downplayed.
Synhopsis:
This beer is very complex and palate-challenging -as well as palate-pleasing. It isn't, however, a great example of the IPA style. IPAs are generally hop-dominated from aroma through the finish, and this one is definitely malt dominated.
I suggest disregarding the label and drink it for what it is -enjoyable!
