Publix Grocery - Many Cities, Many States Reviews

Until I became a couponer, I always thought of Publix as the "expensive" supermarket.  They have fancy sales circulars, complimentary carry-out service and in-store deli-cafes.  Their prices were consistently higher than other local stores like Kroger and Ingles. However, once I started couponing, I realized that the best deals were consistently at Publix.

I love Publix. I have several close to me here in Nashville TN.
I have read reviews stating they pricey. They can be a bit pricey on non-sale items, BUT when you combine their sale items with a coupon (which they double up to 0.50 by the way) you can find some REAL bargains. I went the other day and bought 6 bottles of Scrubbing Bubbles for only 0.45 each. You just can't beat that!!!! I have even come away with some items for free, only having to pay taxes on them, after the sale price minus the coupon doubled.

I really love Publix, and until recently I never had a problem with anything. The other day,however, after shopping with coupons for at least 2 months now I was told that they would not take coupons that I had. The week before they took that competitors coupon. They do not have many rules on there site telling you what they can and can not or will not take. I had talked to several managers and had been told they take the competitor I was trying to use. I DO NOT like that they are Not consistent. After talking to the area manager over the phone I have found out this.

A lot of people think that Publix is expensive. What I do is rather than make my list and go shopping. I look at the Publix ad and then make my list. I do this right from the comfort of my computer chair. I usually buy the Buy on get one free items. I also use coupons. So when they give me the final total, it usually is at list 1/2 of what it would have been if I did not shop the sale items and use coupons.

Publix is always a clean store! You can use the restroom as well without worrying what it is going to look like. The customer service there is awesome as well!

Publix locations in Columbus, GA offer great customer service in addition to their great prices.  They have sales that are Buy one get one free, Yet if you choose you can just buy one and pay half the cost. Verses Winn Dixie where as they make you buy both items. Publix also doubles coupons up to .50.  They will also let you use their store coupon plus a manufacturer coupon.  Not to mention they also accept competitor coupons.  Publix is a wonderful place to shop.  They offer rain checks if they run out of an item. And they always offer to assist you with loading your groceries in your car....

I was a loyal shopper at my local Palm City, FL Publix at the Martin Downs Town Center. My boyfriend and I ordered a sub to share from the deli. Come to find out the sub had a looong woman's hair in it that my boyfriend almost choked on. We returned the sub and got our money back. After speaking to the store manager, the only thing he offered my boyfriend was a new sub. We appreciated the gesture, but why would anyone want a new sub after an experience like that?
