Psych Review Summary

Psych is "the funniest buddy detective comedy ever!" This USA Network series utilizes a cast that is "just terrific" as nearly every review calls out the stars specifically as what makes the show. James Roday stars as a detective that fakes being psychic to get the gigs, and Dulé Hill is his friend that is always pulled in to help, albeit reluctantly. Reviewers find them "just a joy to watch" and "comedy perfection" and feel Psych has "the pefect blend of crime, drama, comedy, bromance, and all around greatness." While Roday isn't really a psychic, he uses "intuition and skills of observation" to solve the crimes. Fans thinks USA should copy Psych and Monk in looking for more hit shows, instead of looking to the WWF. "If you ever need a show that is just fun and stress-relieving, this is it."

Psych is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. The show is based around a fake psychic detective who uses his powerful detection skills to solve police cases. The cast is just terrific, especially the two main characters, Shawn and Gus. They have such a great dynamic and are just a joy to watch. The supporting characters (from Shawn's authoritarian police father to the strict police detective Carlton Lassiter) are also hilariously quirky in their own way. The storylines are also very funny and the show is overall just extremely enjoyable.

I avoid getting hooked on t.v. shows. I'm a busy woman with places to be and no time time to commit to something as frivilous as t.v. Don't get me wrong, I love t.v. but when you get attached to a series, it's over. It becomes an every week date. You can't miss it or you feel left out. You have to change schedules and miss out on opportunities to make sure you'll be around on Friday night at 10 p.m. just so you can see it.

There are few shows that I commit to. I'll watch you on reruns, or maybe on hulu when I'm out and about with some time to kill, but t.v. show -- I just can't commit. Psych was...

If you've never seen Psych you don't know what you're missing.  These "fake" psychics are the best.  James Roday & Dule Hill are comedy perfection.  The way they portray their characters, Shawn & Gus, respectively, and the chemistry they have as partners is just fantastic to watch.

Shawn & Gus are best friends who start a business together as pyschic detectives for the police department.  Actually Shawn is the psychic and Gus is his sidekick.  Shawn is just very observant and sees things we usually look past.  Everyone believes he is pyschic except his dad and Gus.  I love when he figures...

Psych is one of the most original and entertaining shows I've ever seen.  It's got the perfect blend of crime drama, comedy, bromance and all around greatness.  Each season gets better and better and yet when you go back and watch the older seasons on DVD you think they are the best all over again.

Dule Hill and James Roday are the perfect match.  They play off each other with expertise and keep you laughing every episode.  I have yet to be disappointed.

Instead of science or mystery machines telling us the clues with dna and all that testing, Psych uses intuition and skills of observation. ...

Psych is one of the most original shows on television today. Its absolutely hilarious, with story lines that are fun and interesting. However what really makes this show great, are the characters and the actors that portray them. Shawn and Gus are a classic buddy duo. Honestly, I don't think I know anyone thats ever seen this show, and has not wanted to hang out with Shawn and Gus. If you ever need a show that is just fun and stress relieving (honestly its impossible to be stressed when watching this show) this is it. Give it a try and I personally guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Psych is one of the best shows ever. From day one, my husband and I have been huge fans of Gus and Shawn as they traipse through one adventure after another. The added bonus of Corbin Bernsen playing Sean's dad and Timothy Omundson (used to be on Judging Amy) as the police detective everyone loves to hate, make this show a fun, fun, time. Those who haven't caught on to the talent on the USA network are sadly missing out. By the time Monk and Psych are over on Friday night, you're ready to face another week just to be rewarded with the hysterical laughter next Friday night :)

this show and monk are two shows that USA network needs to copy instead of WWF. this show is good because Shawn has taken something his dad taught him and is able to use it for good.  the flashbacks are a good way to show how his dad had him work on his remembering things around him.  it is a shame his dad does not like that Shawn has used being a psychic to use his knowledge.  why can't Shawn be a cop? with monk, psych, and house on Friday night i have my TV schedule fixed. could NBC bring chuck to USA.

Over the past few years, there have been fewer and fewer comedic shows on tv that I can truly appreciate.  Well, I have found a show to fill that void!  I have watched Psych faithfully since it began, and must say that I have not found any of the episodes to disappoint!  I was a big fan of Dule Hill back on West Wing, and have come to appreciate this lighter, funnier side of him.  I think the two detectives have a great on screen chemistry and just make for one of the best shows on tv in years!

I caught this show by accident one night.  I had seen the previews but didn't think too much of it.  Till I saw it.  It is refreshingly funny.  Even a bit innocent with the jokes.  I enjoy it because it is different.  I hope it has a long run.  I always miss it when the season is over.

The witticisms and facial expressions of the characters are hillarious.  This program doesn't pretend to have a serious message undertone.  It is just pure entertainment.  I look forward to the reruns.

This show is so good. From the chemistry between the characters, the frequent soundbites and sarcastic humor, this is a really good detective show. There are a lot of laugh out loud moments for me.

"Psych" is my favorite TV show since Family Guy first came on the air. I wait every week for it to come on Friday night and have even turned down my friends for parties and other fun just so I could stay home and watch Psych.  Not only is it funny but, unlike "House" and even "Monk", "Psych"s story-line is never the same, and I never find myself changing the channel. If you haven't seen it yet, you should take the time to watch an episode. You'll love it!
