Protonix pantoprazole sodium Review

Protonix is in a group of medications called proton pump inhibitors which is doctor speak for it decreases the amount of acid produced by the stomach.  It is an oval shaped small yellow tablet with Protonix printed on one side.  It is time released and should never be crushed or split.  It is taken daily and also used to treat erosive esophagitis which is Dr. speak for damage to the esophagus from stomach acid.  It's a condition that can eventually lead to cancer of the stomach so it is a life saver for many people.  I have had acid reflux for many years but protonix is a wonderful - no more heartburn - no more waking up in the middle of the night choking on stomach acid.  Great medication.
