we bought this waterproof (queen) mattress cover to use over the sealy posterpedic that was purchased since quite frankly, it is too expensive of a bed to get ruined with water stains of any kind, such as diaper leaks, etc. it came very quickly after being ordered and fit our mattress perfectly. the waterproof plasticy layer doesnt make any noise and it feels very comfortable. the top is pillowy so it doesnt interfere with the original feel of the mattress, and also, it fits snugly so the sheet we put over it didnt get cramped at all when we put it over the pad. we washed it once, according to the directions, gently, and tumble dried it on low so it didnt seem to affect the sheet at all. it is important to dry on low though, since i can imagine the waterproof layer being compromised under high heat. we got it for a good deal online so make sure to price compare when buying it. it seems worthwhile, and we will be getting it for the other mattresses in the house as well.
