I would completely recommend the Protect-A-Bed waterproof matress protector to anyone! Normally I've bought just a basic mattress cover on my bed, but I had a 20% discount off one item at a store and sprung for this. I've had it for a little over a year now, and after my husband got a bad stomach virus last week and vomited on the bed, it is totally worth the money! I can't imagine what we would have had to do if that had leaked through to the matress. The price is a little higher than I would normally pay but like I said - after last week, it's worth it. Also it's not very hot; I do think it made the bed a little warmer, but not too much at all. Overall, I think it's a great investment to protect your mattresses!

The Protect-A-Bed Mattress Protector is great, especially if you have young children. I just moved my 3 year old into her own bed and was worried about how we were going to keep her new mattress protected. I saw the mattress protector at the store and was sold by the demonstration. A piece of it was covering the opening of a jar of water, and you could turn the jar completely upsidedown and not a drop leaked out! Yet the fabric is still breathable. We have had it on my daughters mattress ever since, and it has saved it multiple times. She it still potty training at night and if it weren't for the Protect-A-Bed cover, her new mattress would have been ruined long ago. I also like the fact that it is a dust mite and allergy barrier. She suffers from winter allergies (most likely caused by dust mites) so it is very important to keep the dust mite count down. It makes me feel better knowing the her mattress is protected and that she's not breathing that stuff in at night when she sleeps. Definitely worth the money!

Don't even think twice.  Just buy it and save your self a lot of grief. Though I put my children to sleep in their own beds they love to sleep in the bed with me (they sneak into bed almost every night at 3am---but that's another story). My 5 year old has accidents that usually results in me having a dream about water. And now the 6 year old says that he  "sweats a lot over night" and "that's why the bed is wet".  His "sweat" usually means a change of underwear in the middle of the night. If it were not for this mattress cover, I would have to buy a new mattress every month. Not only does the cover protect the mattress but it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO comfortable. Much more so than the plastic cover that I replaced. It is a bit more expensive but worth it. I would buy again. I actually have two. The first one I bought about 6 years ago and it is still in very good condition even after being washed many, many times. Buy this one--don't waist your money with others.   The company promotes this as a health product because it protects against dust mites and bed bugs which may cause eczema and asthma.  It also brags about being able to wash the cover in excess of 200 washes.  I think I've at least washed it 300 times LOL.
