Promise Activ Super Shots —

I was so happy to hear about this amazing product that can lower HDL cholesterol levels. I have high cholesterol, and cannot take any statins, because I get bad side effects. Well, after reading about this amazing product, I wasted no time in starting it. After about a week, I started with horrible gas, cramps, and loose stools. I didn't put two and two together for a couple of days after that. Well, it has been a few weeks since taking the product, and I have since been to the doctor, and still suffer the effects from the plant sterols. I am not saying that everyone will react so harshly, but there should be a warning that it could happen. I am actually sorry that I cannot take the product. It sounded like a miracle for a person who cannot take the medications. I see there are a few people out there complaining about the cost of the product. All I can say is, if you are fortunate enough to be able to take the product without any ill effects, thank your lucky stars and stop nagging about the price!!

Why is Super Shot not available at HyVee stores any longer?

Nice review, I hope you are feeling better. I would never of thought of this being a problem. Really thanks for the information. I now know my hubby would have to stay away from something like this.

You wouldn't want to lower HDL as HDL is good cholesterol. You woud want to RAISE it. Just an FYI.

I have been suffering with the worst gas pains I have ever had since starting the Promise Activ Super Shots for cholesterol. They stopped when I stoped the Super Shots. I am very disappointed that I cannot tolerate them, as now my only alternative will be statin drugs - if I can tolerate them. Thank you for the info - I too wish the Super Shots listed a warning.

So sorry that you had this problem. So far so good for me. I'm actually using the SuperShots for high blood pressure but I'll certainly be cautious about this problem. Thanks for the warning!
