Promise Activ Super Shots —

Recently, I started using the product for cholesterol, but then could not find it in stores. Nothing in the news as yet.

I tracked down the contact phone number. The one directly linked to the "shots" disconnects so I used one for the margarine.
It is officially discontinued as of Aug.28,2009. The woman was polite but evasive about why these two products are discontinued.
I have the feeling there may be more about this in the news...I also saw a website by a lawyer for the shots claims of lowering high blood pressure not being true.
Too bad for those of us who needed it, benefited from it, and used it responsibly.

My guess is the pharmaceutical companies paid them to stop making it because it does work and does not have the side effects of their drugs.

Yes, I too have used the Promise Activ Super Shots and did find that they worked for me which was great! I have been in search for them as well with no success. I thought that maybe they were pulled off the market but didn't hear anything. Now reading this only increases my concern as to why has this product been taken off the market?? Should I be worried? How can all of us who have taken this product get some answers. Now my thoughts go back to, do I now start the medication therapy since my problem is hereditary not diet or lack of exercise. Well I hope there are no serious issues with the product.

I saw an ad for a "natural cholesterol lowering" product made by the USDA and backed by the FDA. It is called Nutrim. Check out the website www.oathealth.com.I agree something is fishy about the Promise products being discontinued.

Thanks for this update---I've been taking supershots for over a year with favorable results but noticed that supplies were dwindling and then disappeared completely. I wonder why they stopped production?

I think we all need to write our congressmen. Something is fishy here. Whos stands to wn by taking this off the market..the drug companies, that"s who.

You can call the Rep at 800-375-0291..the rep said if they get enough calls, they might put it back on the market.. Please call! My dad relies on these for his health!

My cardioligist prescribe this product taking it once a day. After 8 months of use, my total CL dropped from 190 to 165 without taking Statins, changing eating habits and excercise. Now what?
Are there any substitutes out there?

I should also mention that this representative for the company wanted by full name and address --wanted to send me coupons (which I politely declined to do) since she also wanted to get me off the phone when I asked her questions.
