A gadget that actually works? Who knew!

I bought this Progressive Onion Chopper gadget on a whim, and on a discount. I actually bought it for my mom but she already had something better, so I kept it and finally just used it this weekend! It worked great and saved me about 10 minutes of chopping onions.

I shop often to find the good bargains, especially during the clearance

time of the year! I find a lot of great deals and always find what I am looking

for. I used to chop my onions with a knife and it was not only messy but made

me teary eyed, now I chop them with ease with my Progressive onion chopper...

The Onion Chopper made by Progressive is sturdy and easy to clean. It has non-slip grips on the bottom. It has measurements on the sides so you do not have to move the ingredients to a measuring cup. It also comes with a 'comb' to push out chunks that get stuck in the holes of the chopper.

The Onion Chopper chops food into 1/4 inch squares. That is good for families with kids who do not like big chunks of onion in their chili. Onions are not the only things you can chop with this gadget. You can also chop carrots, potatoes, celery, and even eggs for egg salad.

The progressive onion chopper is a really great tool in the kitchen, I just hate cleaning it. My husband bought it for me and I love having it. My eyes are more sensitive to onions than most people so that makes it almost impossible for me to chop onions. My husband saw this in the store and immediately thought of me! It chops them very well, I've had mine for about six months and it still is working fine. The only negatives that it has is that there is only one size blade and cleaning the onion skins out of the blade is hard to do, and there always seems to be some skin left in there no matter... read full review »

What a time saver

This is a handy item I think every kitchen should have. I don't have alot of time to be chopping and dicing and plus.. I'm not very good at it. This kitchen tool is good for us not so culinary inclined who don't ENJOY the chop chop chop.

The only downfall to this item for me is the cleaning of it. I do not have a dishwasher so I can't speak for how well it gets cleaned in a dishwasher, but you do have to be careful and make sure to get little stray stuck pieces out.. Still, I'd rather clean the tool than chop the item.. so it's worth it for me.

i hate onion chopping;especially because of the tears.!! this is a good chopper, saves time.
but, not exactly very presentable form of chopped onions..! it would be good on those days i dont care how my chopped onions look in my casserole or some other dish. not many of great onion choppers out there. so, i would say this is a very good one.

I love cooking but have always hated chopping onions because of the painful tearing in my eyes. But now, with the Progressive Onion Chopper, I can chop onions without crying. It's wonderful! I wish this had been invented much sooner so I could have gone many more years without crying while chopping onions.

I found this product very simple to use even my disable 9 year old daughter was able to use it to help me when i ask her at dinner time. It makes cutting onions a snap along with making a nice fruit and veggie platter. I just wish there were more blades to it.

I was very disappointed in the onion chopper. I was really wanting this to be a good thing because I hate to chop onions. Mine broke withing a few months of buying it. A friend's broke also. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I would not buy another one.

Poorly made and difficult to clean

This product is very inexpensive, and thought it works well the first few times you use it, it is so not worth the trip to the store to pick it up. It is difficult to get clean and even once you have cleaned it, you never get the smell of onions off the device.

My husband loves onions and i hate cutting them. So he bought the Progressive Onion Chopper for me to use. I tried it and loved it, It was so easy my kids used it for everything from potatoes, apples and yes onions too.

This is the best gadget we've had in a long time. I no longer cry tears of pain while chopping onions. In fact, hardly a tear escapes before I'm done! Great and easy to use.
