I researched treadmills for performance, durability, ease of use, and affordability. Of all the research, Proform came out on top. They are not the least expensive, but considering that my entire family uses the treadmill, the other factors such as durability, performance, and ease of use were more important to us. Everyone in the family is able to use this (we've even put the dogs on it!) and it is easy to learn the programs and use the product. It is sturdy and has not shown any wear and we've used it for six months now. It is being used a minimum of twice a day for an hour, so we have certainly put it through a test. We like the different programs and that it folds up for storage if we want to use the floor behind it. Even my 8 year old can fold it up without any trouble. We have it set up in the family room so that we can watch tv while we are using it and this is a great tip for making sure that you get great long-term use out of your treadmill. I also like to use hand-weights to work out my upper body when I'm on the treadmill.
