When my wife and I first purchased our treadmill in 2007, it was to be used to keep us in shape. We had been married for only a few months, and I was already starting to gain some weight. I did some research and decided that the best way to stay in shape was regular exercise...nothing better than a treadmill.
We ended up buying the Proform treadmill because of the price. I did not need a fancy, state-of-the-art machine that calculated hundreds of numbers per minute. All I wanted was a thing that I could walk and run on, and in that regard the Proform delivered flawlessly.
The unit was easy to put together, and although it is heavy once assembled, it has wheels and is generally easy to move. Set up was a breeze as the unit is simply plug-and-go.
Durability was a concern, because I was pushing 230lbs. when I started using the machine. However, I began walking and running right away without so much as a groan from the treadmill!
We have moved twice since buying our treadmill, and it still works just fine. I am on it every single day running/walking at least 4 miles. It has survived hundreds of miles of moving and maybe as much as 1,000 miles of use.
This is truly a fabulous investment for someone who wants a reliable means of staying in shape.
