I owned the pro-form cross trainer before this one and it lasted for about 4 years of 3 times per week exercise. It finally gave out on me, and they are inexpensive enough that its not worth fixing them. I shopped around and bought this treadmill at a great Christmas sale in 2008. I checked out all the specs and decided it was the best deal for the money. I DID NOT buy the extended warranty for $99, since the treadmill cost me $400. So 3 months later it began stopping suddenly while I was running. This is dangerous! Called the company, emailed, they recommended cleaning the belt, cleaning the sensors (they couldn't tell me where to find them). Called sears, for them to come out and look at it is $129. So it sits here waiting for the dump. ):
