I bought this mainly for a dip that I make quite often. Its smaller in size which is perfect for cheese dips and I also make lava cake in this crock pot. I love using this crock pot just set it and forget it.

I have purchased a few different crock pots over the years, different sizes and different brands, and the one I have bought most recently is this one. The Proctor Silex three quart crock pot is perfect when I dont have to make a large amour of whatever I am cooking, or when I'm not trying to cook a large roast or something. I bought this three quart crock pot a few months ago, and have made many different kinds of soup in it as well as cider, and its PERFECT for that. You have to think about it, three quarts is a lot of soup if only a couple of people are eating. I've also made chili, and different cheesey dips for parties, as well as stew. Its very versatile and extreme easy to clean. My Proctor Silex crock pot is also great to travel. Which has been a huge help with all the holiday parties going on the past few weeks. It keeps whatever I've cooked warm for a good amount of time too. Overall I am pleased with the choice I made to purchase this Proctor Silex three quart crock pot.

I purchased my Proctor Silex 3-quart slow cooker a couple of months ago, and I wish I would have bought it sooner! I enjoy being able to prepare dinner in the morning, and I let it cook all day while I'm out at work. When I come home, dinner is ready, and it is always hot and delicious. I recommend this to anyone with a busy lifestyle who still wants to be able to come home to a home-cooked meal. Time to Heat This slow cooker takes about twenty minutes to completely heat up which is pretty decent. It would be nice if it heated up instantly, but it's still fine. Cooking Performance My food cooks until the timer turns off, and then it stays warm until I am ready to eat. Ease of Cleaning This slow cooker can be cleaned in the dishwasher, or you can hand-wash it with a soap sponge and warm water. Very easy to clean. Ease of Use This could not be easier to use! You just turn it on, wait for it to heat up, add in your ingredients, set the timer, and wait for your food to cook. Design The design is standard and decent. No complaints. Durability I expect this to last a while. It's heavy and sturdy.

I purchased this slow cooker nearly 7 years ago. At the time I wasn't sure how much use I would actually get out of one of these, so I picked one that was reasonably priced. I have not had any problems with this Rival slow cooker. I use it almost once a month and it has never given me problems. I have only one regret. Now that I am familiar with many slow cooker recipes, I wish I had a programmable cooker. There are many recipes that instruct you to start cooking on High and then after an hour or two turn the heat control to low for the remainder of the cooking time. This would not be a problem IF you were home to switch the control. However I usually want to set the cooker up and leave to go to work and have my dinner ready and waiting when I return home. Having to be there for an hour or two to change the cooking temperature sort of defeats the purpose of being able to set it and go. I recommend this slow cooker to anyone who doesn't want to spend much money but still wants a good cooker. Time to Heat The heating time truly depends on the amount and temperature of the ingredients being put into the cooker to start cooking. If items are at refrigerator temperature it may take as long as 30 minutes to get to the High setting. It may take as long as 45 min to an hour to heat to the Low setting. If foods are at room temperature or hotter, the times to heat will be about half the time of cold food. Cooking Performance This slow cooker does a great job of cooking. I have discovered many recipes that come out wonderful Ease of Cleaning With the removable crock the cleanup for this cooker is very convenient. Ease of Use I have rated the ease of use lower due to the fact that you must be home to change the cooking temperature for the many recipes that instruct you to start at high and lower to low after so long. Design I have no really constructive comments regarding the design other than the ability to remove the crock for serving and cleaning. That is a plus. Durability I have had my cooker for nearly 7 years and use it almost once a month. It has given me no problems for the time I have had it.

This product has never failed me. It takes care of dinner without me having to hassle. Time to Heat It may heat a little slower than the higher priced brands. But it does begin heating within about 20 minutes. Cooking Performance Cooks evenly and quickly. I can have items such as pinto beans cooked in about 3 hours on high. I don't even have to heat up my whole house doing it. Ease of Cleaning The removable crock is great. I can hand wash or put it in the dishwasher. Ease of Use Simple to use. The dial tells you everything you need to know. Design Great design. It fits conveinietly in a compact spot. It takes up very little counter space while in use. Durability This crock is tough. I have been using mine over a year,and it still works like a brand new one.

This has been a great slow cooker. I've had mine for almost five years and it works just as well as it did when we first got it. It is large therefore is somewhat heavy, but overall is very easy to store. Both the interior and exterior are easy to keep clean. The volume the slow cooker can hold is impressive, we have used ours for everything from soups, chili, chicken, roasts and casseroles. It can definitely hold enough food for a family sized meal. It has options for a low cook or high cook, with another option to just warm which adds a lot of convenience. The instructions are clear and the food gets hot and stays hot. If there was anything I could change it would be the length of the plug cord, it is fairly short meaning you have to keep the crock pot relatively close to the wall so you don't have a lot of options on where you keep it on the counter. Also, if it gets really hot sometimes the lid will rattle a bit on top. Despite this, it still keeps everything hot and cooks very thoroughly

I received this crock pot as a gift. When I first saw it I thought it was a larger crock pot, I guess I didn't really pay attention to the quart size. Oops! The first time I went to use it, first I purchased all the ingredients for my pot roast. THEN I opened the box and took the crock pot out. Boy was I surprised! It was half the size of my old crock pot, and since I had already purchased the food to put in it I was really worried. I was afraid that either I wouldn't be able to fit it all in or that if I could for it all that it wouldn't be able to cook properly. I couldn't fit the roast in the crock pot in one piece like I had always done before, but I just cut it up into four pieces and set them on end, so they fit just fine. I put in a little less cut up potato than usual, but the baby carrots all fit and I was even able to dump sliced mushrooms on top. The lid barely closed and even thought the directions advised against packing it so full everything cook really well. The meat was great, even when I use a full size crock pot now I cut the meat up. I think it just cooks better, something I probably wouldn't have figured out if I hadn't used this little crock pot!

I use my Proctor Silex crockpot several times a week! I really love using it! It is so convenient to know while I am busy doing other things supper is cooking. Time to Heat It heats fairly quickly and well. Cooking Performance It cooks the food well. I really like the warming feature. Ease of Cleaning The ceramic pot lifts out-wonderfully easy to clean! My old crockpot was terrible to clean because it could not be immersed in water but this one is great. It wipes out easily-it has a very nonstick surface in the ceramic pot. The glass cover cleans easily too. Ease of Use It is so handy to throw food in it and several hours later have a tasty meal, I really like the keep warm feature too since my husband often doesn't get home until late. Design The crockpot design is great. The ceramic inner pot lifts out for super easy cleaning. The cover is clear so you can see the food inside. Durability I have used our Proctor Silex crockpot a lot to feed our big family and it has been going strong for a long time. It is extremely durable -never chipped or broken.

I am a busy mom of 6 and I often dont have time to cook a full meal when I come home from work. I prepare the meals in the morning and turn this crockpot on low. When we come home at the end of the day our meal has been cooking all day. I usually just have to add a starch and a vegetable to the meat that I have been cooking all day to make a complete meal. This product is awesome for the busy [erson that wants to take care of their family and feed them healthy even when they don't have time.
